I don't understand what they mean by "rekindle romances."

They claimed you could do that in Mass Effect 3 prior to it's release. Unless you chose Liara, Kaidan or Ashley you got a single line of extra dialogue or a brief cameo cutscene and that was it. Otherwise it was identical to starting the romance afresh in the game.

Without details obviously we can only speculate, but most of the time Bioware describes a feature in their games before it comes out, everybody expects something ground breaking, and it's almost always the very bare bones of what it could be.

You guys should check out the announcement topic on Bioware forums. It's hilarious. I can't count how many "thank you BIOWARE!" and "I'm so excited" I've seen on a single page.

Thank you Bioware for what? Excited for what? It's a $15 DLC and they won't even tell you what it's about apart from some vague description about a conspiracy and a casino. We know it's a conspiracy. Almost everything in Mass Effect has been a conspiracy of some kind. It will probably be some emotionally manipulative crap. But is it actually worth the money? Does the DLC matter at all? Does it impact the ending in any way? No one seems to be asking those questions. It's like they've all been indoctrinated.
Because we should feel grateful that the gods that are game developers grace us with content we have to pay for.

I am not suggesting it should be free, but such extreme gratitude for it seems a little excessive considering it isn't.

Felt like it was worth mentioning the this will presumably be the last thing the recently deceased VA for Zaeed, Robin Sachs ever did.

Nothing mentioned fixes the ending because this is a computer game, not a movie. To fix the ending of a computer game, you'll need a final boss battle with war assets giving you an advantage in that battle.

I know I'll be going for this anyway. Hopefully they will be able to give all the crew and Commander Shepard a fitting sendoff with this DLC. Also, as far as I'm concerned, we are still waiting for ME3s "LotSB". I guess this is their last chance, so hopefully this will be it.

Maybe everything in the description above is just a ruse to lower our expectations accordingly and when we fire up this DLC, we find the true ending - the Crucible actually turns out to be a design for a giant mech that - obviously - will be piloted by Shepard as he/she fights his/her way through the entire Reaper armada before having an all out epic punchup with Harbinger. Then they pay homage to Dune by having Shepard and Love Interest riding Kalros off into the distance on Tuchanka.

Nah.

Why bother really? The endings will still be crap, and its 15 dollars I could spend on something else.
You know...as much as I did not love ME2...I still got all its DLC.

I could never even bother with the DLC for ME3.
To little to late from BiowarEA.

Such a shame I use to love this company and its products.
Might watch it on youtube and save myself the money.

Yay! Citadel is one of my favorite locations in the ME universe so this sounds very promising. Can't wait to hit the casino with Garrus and Wrex! Definitely going to buy it on the release day.

Well it looks like their experiment with increasing Omega's price to $15 worked. This doesn't exactly sound very interesting honestly. I was kind of hoping for something a bit grander.

I wonder if we're still going to be able to access these new areas of the Citadel after the DLC story is finished. Or is it just going to be one Big Lipped Alligator moment like Omega was.

Eh, I think I'll just wait until they sell all the DLC with the game.
I'm not in that much of a hurry to play it again.

Color me interested. I'll wind up buying this. Who am I kidding?

I've seen all the DLC as being self-contained. Sure, it isn't adding to the overall narrative because you know how Mass Effect ends, but it's nice seeing more of it. Omega was a good example. It's its own little story and it doesn't really matter that it doesn't change the ending.

You do? I fucking don't and quite frankly it's a debate still going on at the BSN.

It seems like there is no middle ground when it comes to Bioware. You have extremists on both sides. People who absolutely despise Bioware and everything they do even when they do something good, and people who love Bioware so much they are willing to defend them to death.

Ok, Bioware.. I still had hope you would really fix the mess you made with the ending. I guess it was a fool's hope.
I will delete Mass Effect and Dragon Age from my computer and get on with my life. I don't care about you anymore. I wish you all the best.

It's a shame. Mass Effect could have been the Star Wars of our generation.

Are people still whining about the fucking ending? Holy shit, you'd think Bioware made you watch while they fucked your mothers or something.

While I'm excited for this, I've been hurt so many times by BioWare that I'm afraid to love again. While they've done so many purely awesome things in the past, as of late, they've been fucking up a whole lot (Deception, Paragon Lost, Omega, the comics [very hit and miss there], and that which shall not be named).

Then again, THE DREAM TEAM SHALL REUNITE!!... if I can ever afford the $15... and if this isn't a waste of time like Omega.

Hmm, have they still not taken the fanfiction lifeline that is the Indoctination Theory? Seriously, it's the best thing that has come about from this whole debacle. I'd take it if I were you guys. Say it was your plan from the start. Surely your writers can't be that bad?

I was thinking of getting Omega for my FemShep playthrough but I might just wait to see what the other stuff is like. I've heard people weren't that thrilled by Omega either, differing opinions at least. I got over the ending pretty quickly, I was only depressed for 7 days! C'mon guys the entire game bar the last 5 minutes was awesome. Try not to forget that ya know?

WELL THEY MIGHT AS WELL HAVE! THEY HAVE BETRAYED OUR TRUST AS FANS OF THE MASS EFFECT FRANCHISE

*ahem*

Sorry, sorry. Felt like roleplaying a bit there. :3

You care so little you made a post about it. And I'll point you to the EC. Which is more than I can say for Fallout 3 where they forced me to pay $15 for the real ending.

Just to be clear I am not bitching about the ending. I did hate it at first but the updated version fixed my major issues with it.

I have zero desire to play any DLC for Mass Effect 3 despite playing all DLC for Mass Effect 1 and 2. Unless the DLC happens after the ending of the game, then to me there is no point. We know now that the choices made in any of the DLC wont effect how it turns out. You will still pick ending 1 2 or 3 and that's that.

As somebody who used to frequent the BSN I know exactly what you mean. It's one of the reasons I got so fed up with the place. If you say anything good about them the haters ***** at you and call you a Biodrone. Say anything bad and you are a whiny and entitled child who should be grateful for what you get.

It's not a place for people who have mixed opinions at all it seems.
