I know exactly how you feel. That ending has completely sapped my appreciation for the whole trilogy. It's hard to imagine one single misstep like that could destroy a whole series... They can release DLC until the end of days, and it still wouldn't fix anything.Ilikemilkshake said:I dunno how I feel about this. On the one hand my plan was to wait for all the DLC to come out so I can play through it all at once. Buttttt on the other I've basically lost all enthusiasm for the series after the ending and given the quality of the DLCs given the cost I don't think it'll be worth it. I'll probably have to wait for more details before I get excited.
Did you HAVE to word to word it like that?Kermi said:Are people still whining about the fucking ending? Holy shit, you'd think Bioware made you watch while they fucked your mothers or something.
Yeah, a free pass for Dragon Age II and The Old Republic, right.RT said:It was fucking horrible, not subpar.Radoh said:And still people insist on whining about the ending.
Gearbox releases Duke Nukem Forever and Aliens: Colonial Marines; nearly no lasting heat.
People thought that the last ten minutes of Mass Effect Three was subpar; the bitching will never stop.
Gearbox has to release a third awful game. BioWare got a free ride on Dragon Age II and The Old Republic.
Okay, clearly you missed the sarcasm in my previous statement. I'm not actually interested in having this discussion again, or being involved in another vicious slap fight thread.RT said:Then again, DNF is rubbed in Gearbox' face to this day and Colonial Marines is too fresh to judge it's effect on the overall reputation. Besides, Gearbox also released Borderlands and Borderlands 2, which are pretty popular and well-received, while BioWare's releases after Mass Effect 2 (which itself was fairly alarming, but was still damn good) were nothing but a cavalcade of failure.Radoh said:Yeah, a free pass for Dragon Age II and The Old Republic, right.
It's not like mentioning DAII sparks an instant flame war anywhere on the internet, and The Old Republic is still moderately well received.
Try again though, I'm really interested in having this discussion again, it's been all of two days since I saw the last METhree vicious slap fight thread.
Seriously? This has got to be a joke.RT said:I didn't miss it, I just didn't bother to pay attention - if you can't stand the heat, stay outta the kitchen.Radoh said:Okay, clearly you missed the sarcasm in my previous statement. Saying they were building up to the endings is like saying your life is building up to your death. While it's true that Death is at the end of it, is that all that mattered in the end? None of what you did or memorable experiences counts for anything, it's just the endings?RT said:Yeah, that's what I probably should quote in the "Opinions you don't understand" thread. Those other 95% were building up to the ending. As were two previous games.jthm said:Hur dur, I won't play it cus the ending sucked!
Yeah, but the other 95% of the game was awesome, and they're selling more of that. I called Omega for being a time waster and it's why I didn't buy it. This on the other hand, sounds fun.
Okay here's a fun little exercise for you.RT said:Yeah, that's what I probably should quote in the "Opinions you don't understand" thread. Those other 95% were building up to the ending. As were two previous games.jthm said:Hur dur, I won't play it cus the ending sucked!
