Did you redeem the code here: http://social.bioware.com/redeem_code.php ?

If so, you'll get a number of free DLCs to download here: http://social.bioware.com/user_entitlements.php
Yeah, I activated it there, and the Cerberus Network went up on the title screen, but no DLC activated in game or downloaded. I'm unsure what the hell happened (in comparison, my Borderlands GOTY DLC installed and worked as expected).

My attempts at reclaiming it went unattended, save for a few obvious automated PR responses.
That was months ago.

Thanks anyway.
All DLCs have to be downloaded manually from the second link I posted for the PC version of ME2. It doesn't handle DLC downloads and such in-game, due to complaints about Dragon Age's system.

Just download the files to your desktop and run them to install the contents to the game folder. As long as you're connected properly in the game when you run it, that should be all you have to do.

I'm sad I followed those and commented regularly. This makes me really sad =(

Hmm, that's unfortunate. Good that I will still be able to play the DLC if I choose to buy it.

On the topic of DLC, are any of the DLC missions worth it?
Lair of Shadow Broker is definitely worth it. It was amazing.

Overlord, was alright, the ending was really good but driving missions still suck.

I'm personally a huge fan of Kasumi (Her powers are awesome and she's just a great character imo)

On my standard definition TV I could never read the News Feed to begin with, so I'm not sad to see it go. Not for lack if it being "bad" or anything, just because I didn't feel like straining my eyes to even seeing what it was saying.

On the bright side Bioware essentially confirmed two more DLC missions for the game before 3 comes out, which is awesome. Here's to hoping that they're both as good as LotSB, if not better.

Being too lazy to check them myself, how much would all of them cost at once? I'm debating whether or not to get the DLC for more impact to my Mass Effect 2 story and for when I import it to Mass Effect 3. You can complete these after the game ends, right?

it is good to know that it isn't being shut down entirely. I don't think I've had a chance to redownload everything since my hard drive death a few months back.

Yeah, you can complete all of the DLC after the story. Last time I checked, LotSB was $10, and Kasumi and Overlord were both $7. I would say Lair of the Shadow Broker and Overlord are both definitely worth getting. I didn't buy Kasumi because it didn't seem worth it, and after reading a synopsis of Kasumi and her mission, I would say I made the right choice.

I had the same problem on my TV. It was really hard to read any of the text in the game, and the Cerberus Network stuff was just impossible to read. Fortunately, all of the posts ever are on the Mass Effect wiki. Bioware's inability to patch the game to make the text bigger was one of the only things they've ever done that pissed me off. But as you said, more ME2 DLC is always good news.

We had to suffer through a Liara-centric pack, hopefully they'll make it up to us with a Wrex-centric pack.

Indeed you can. Overlord is 560, Kasumi is 560 and Lair is 800, which is like 1920 I believe (doing quick math in my head, and I'm an art student) Which would be about 24 dollars US according to the internet. Almost 30 dollars Canadian (which is what I'm on)

I have that problem to, but I solved it by going to http://www.cerberusdailynews.com/ which puts up all the news feeds online so you can actually read them. They're quite interesting.

Please let this mean I can finally reunite with Kaidan or Ashley before I go back to school next semester Bioware. PLEASE!

I have 1600+ points waiting for any type of news just in case.

Hell, any type of news that I'm getting DLC with them back would truly get the year off to a really Happy start.

And Cerberus News Network was...well a nice way for Bioware to check up on my records and send weird news that makes the ME world seem a little bit more real. Read it once in a while...sort of.

Seriously though. The VS DLC would be a great late Christmas/early birthday present.

I'm mainly hoping that the DLC will have some impact to the story in Mass Effect 3, even if it's just references. I don't want them to just be an extra mission to kill time in, as much fun as that would be. I'll consider getting them.

(continued monotone) panic. Panic in the streets. Riot.
Sarcastically: Bioware are fools. This will cost them millions.

Wrex is dead by default, so no chance.

Too bad. I quite liked the little snippets of information here and there, I wonder if anything they introduced via the CDN (i.e. the Antilin Ghost Ship or the sentient avian species) will show up in Mass Effect 3.

And for those of you that are glad to be rid of the CDN why exactly is that?

Bioware no longer posting daily updates doesn't change anything about the Cerberus network and its' functions. You still have access to the DLC and Bioware still has access to your ingame statistics. The only change is the fact you'll no longer be trying to read small, fast-paced text that may or may not add some more immersion to the ME universe.

Didn't mean to come off as a jerk there either, a lack of sleep... does things to the brain D:

And despite loving Bioware down to my very core, that part just pisses me off. Best damned character in Mass Effect, save Mordin Solus.

OT: Sounds awesome. I now need points. <_<

They could easily overcome that by having whoever is in Wrex's place in the mission for people that have had Wrex killed.

Im still thinking its fucked up that you need to buy the DLC to know the full story for ME3 <.<

Im not against DLC but the system in which you get them. If they straight up just charged me REAL money for it i'd have no problem buying them. But the fact they make you spend it on ridiculously arbitrary points in which you usually always have left overs where you can't use just pisses me off to no end.

capitalistically its an ingenious nickle and dime scheme, but its because it is a scheme, i just refuse to buy their DLC >.<

You could just read it. If you don't want to shell out for the DLC (at least LotSB) then you'd be doing yourself a disservice anyway, but if you want to know the entire story details, theres always mass effect wiki :)
