Don't do it, there is no need. All it will do is inspire more "fan" art. All while pissing off half of the community.

I personally don't want to see Tali's face revealed. I think there's something said about leaving it to the imagination, and players have really taken on the character and have no doubt personalised and idealised her. You also can't please everyone :)

Besides, to my Shep, Tali is like a little sister.
Exactly this. First of all, the mystery should be kept...there is no way they can reveal her face without disappointing the majority, it's better to just not try.

And although it's a little off topic, I also see Tali as a little sister character more than some romantic icon. Then again, I went FemShep, but the point stands.

Personally I would like them to reveal it.
I also think it would be better if she turned out to be beautiful; the most beautiful of the whole series in fact. It would make the fact that she cannot show her face even more tragic.

Though I have doubts whether bioware would actually be skilled enough to pull something like that off.

I'd prefer keeping the mystery intact myself, but this really is gonna end up being a lose/lose situation for Bioware. Unless they pull something really epic out of the bag that is...

And is invalidating several years worth of Tali fanart really worth it Bioware? XD

Honeslty I choose Tali in the first Mass Effect, not an available choice I know, but it was definately the closest gaming ever got to actually having a desirable (not sexually) character, one who was "human" enough to actually feel for. So when the second game allowed me too, it was great, the flustered nervousness of it all was great because it almost recaptured that first time feeling due to it being so unique. As for the rest of the charaters the only other believable female character in the first game with the Doc. The second game really fleshed out the females (the secrarary was too one-dimensional) but everyone was unique.

As for Bioware, leave it a mystery, the best women always keep the air of mystery about them, reveal the species, but not Tali. If you do reveal her, do it in the begining so that we can move on and prove that the appeal was not just in the mystery.

I got my custom-built 'man Shep'. :)

I think we all know what Tali is actually going to look like.

In all seriousness though, I think no matter what they do, people are going to be disappointed. It's the same reason people would have been disappointed if Master Chief ever took off his helmet, the same reason anyone would have been disappointed if Gordon Freeman spoke, so on and so forth. When you take away a defining characteristic of a character, the reader/player/viewer automatically projects whatever they want onto it. It allows the individual to define it based on their tastes. As soon as you define that characteristic, people are inevitably going to be proven wrong. And personally, I don't mind that all that much. I do like the idea of a faceless character, because of the way it allows the player to customize their own interactions with the game, but I personally feel it slightly distracts from the creator's ability to make their story. Not much, mind you, and there are definitely good stories told with faceless/voiceless characters. It's just my personal tastes that make me like it when a character is fully defined, I suppose. Then again, I'm sure there's people like me who have come to view the mask itself as Tali's face. No matter what is under it, it'll feel wierd for me, because it's not her mask, and thus not the face I've come to associate with it.

It's quite possible that Hudson is just dangling the long-awaited Tali reveal to make the fanboys dance.
I think we have a winner.

Personally, I will only be satisfied if the Tali Reveal scene is a frame by frame re-enactment of the Predator's unmasking sequence.

Mystery intact here.

I would love to see her face, but keeping the mystery going is what makes her so interesting.

Hopefully my beautiful blue love companion will be coming back anyway, so I don't have to choose.

If not though...

It's going to be a sad day in ME3.

Let's see the face. With ME coming to a close, we won't see Tali again anyway, so we might as well get rid of 'the mystery'.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
It reminds me of the dilemas they like to put near the end in their games.

Either way someone isnt gonna be happy and no matter what they do, there is gonna be alot of rage. I'd like to know cause i romanced her and since im taking on the role of sheperd in these games i should see what he sees.

But on the otherhand i really like her, so much so that i couldnt care less if she did look like a predetor.

I have a feeling Mass Effect will have endless spinoffs.

I want a Contra style game with Garrus as the main character. The story would be about when he was in charge of his own merc group.

She's obviously gonna look like a polygonal version of her voice actress, like pretty much every other humanoid-ish Bioware character ever.

I don't see a problem with that or any fan objecting. Casey Hudson is just hyping.

Its not like her face is a complete mystery. In the first game, little beams of light across her helmet revealed what looked roughly like a human nose and squinted eyes.

I'm in agreement with many of the people here that we should just get some vague(or maybe not so vague) hints as to what the quarians look like, and leave Tali under the veil.

Eh, make her pretty, Mass Effect has never been very hard in terms of non-humanoid aliens and nows not the time to go for something really out of the park. It should be quiet pretty though, very pale and shut in.

For me, her race was always a little bit ruined when I realised those weren't light reflections on the mask. I wish they'd held out and made the masks pure, instead of having those glow in the dark eyes

EDIT: Her actress would be a pretty good model all in all
