Yeah, JediMB is right. I didn't hate him, but I ignored him more than everyone else because I couldn't really interact with him.
Fair enough. I didn't really mind that so much, though. The stories were entertaining, and he always had something funny to say when I took him on missions.

That's lame. All this talk of "free DLC!" and in the end all we get is a few weapons and a set of armor (which we can't even customize).

And then they bring in actual content (missions, characters) and it costs money.

Figures.. I knew it was too good to be true. It's EA we're talking about after all.
Actually the Firewind DLC, which has 5 new missions designed around the new hover tank if I remember correctly, is part of the Cerberus Network and therefore also free. So it's not just new armor skins and weapons.

I'll wait on this one and wait for some reviews before buying. I was skunked by Bioware's DLC for Mass Effect, and while the DLC for ME2 thus far has been better, it might also be because that was free.

And not to be nitpicky, but, another human character? Why can't we have like another Turian or Krogan, or hell even a Vorcha on board? I want a Vorcha... and name him Paddington. We'll feed him cat food and let him sleep in the med-bay... okay, got off topic there... *ahem*

Vorcha would be hard to work in. And the last game only had one krogan and one turian, so I don't see why this one should be different.

I think you're understating it a bit. Zaeed was free and he's a whole big bag of fun all on his own, and the Firewalker pack that's coming later this month will include a new vehicle, five new missions and some other stuff. I think BioWare's been very generous thus far.

That said, I'll probably end up passing on this one myself. For one, I expect it will be rather like Warden's Keep for Dragon Age, which didn't impress me at all; but more important, it's a matter of timing. I play most games once, especially RPGs, I play the hell out of them and then I move on. I'm not going to go back and start a replay just so I can sample this DLC and even if I'm still playing when it hits, I'll almost certainly be at or near the endgame and I won't want to break that flow to add someone new to the team.

That's one of my biggest problems with any DLC, really. By the time it comes around, I've moved on.

Was Pinnacle Station really that bad? My Friend has my mass effect 1 so I never got to buy it.
It was just unbelievably lazy. It was really just a typical RPG-style battle arena, which didn't go over well since the combat seems to be the most reviled thing about ME1. I liked the combat, personally (at least, I did, until ME2 came along and did it a thousand times better), so I at least got a bit of entertainment out of it, but it wasn't worth paying for. Nothing special, and most of the environments looked like they were recycled from the main game. Like I said, incredibly lazy.

Assuming this is a character we can interact with on the ship more than Zaeed, it all comes down to price. Anything more than $5 would seem too pricey to me.

Wonder if FemShep is going to get a new character to get down with at some point.

I would wager that Kasumi is the FemShep girl/girl option.

I knew there would be outcry at the lack of a girl/girl option in ME2 (Chambers doesnt count), but I was surprised just how much there was. It's almost as if people expect all Bioware games to be the definative girl/girl experience.

For shame bioware, charging people for shit that is on the disk already?
Have any proof of this?
There's an unused model and a few semi-finished maps on the disk with the same name.
You do know that games have deadlines and stuff is cut all the time because it can't be finished, right?

Personally, what I consider to be the definitive girl/girl experience is that .avi file called "lesbians in shower and bed" I have hidden in the temporary files system folder on my hard drive. But that's just me. And to forego a non-religious application of Poe's Law, yes I made that up.

Though with the G-rated sex scenes in ME2, it's hard to see why anyone outside a few GBLT gaming groups who would really care so much. The highlight of the various romances was hardly the end result, it was Mordin telling the female Shepard I had go with Garrus not to swallow.

Its almost worth playing through multiple times just to hear what Mordin says about each of the relationships.

Too little, too late.

I've been through the game with three characters. For a game lauded for being big, it certainly does feel short. A new character and 1.5hrs of new content aren't enough to get me to play through it again. I'm ready for a real expansion, something that actually adds something to the game.
