Congrats Bioware. You've now added a potential 24 million console owners to the possible people who will buy your games.
And that's good business.

Not to be a jerk or anything, but... little mistake here.It seems likely that future BioWare projects will appear on the PS3 as well as on the Xbox 360 and PS3
This will go one of two ways - either Microsoft will buy the rights to Mass Effect, getting BioWare money, or BioWare will release Mass Effect 1 and 2 as a "The Story So Far..." collection on the PS3 (maybe even on one disk? See if something can actually use Blu Ray technology!) at some point before Mass Effect 3 comes out, getting BioWare money. Either way, BioWare wins, so it's just a case of whether PS3 gamers or Microsoft win too. I don't care either way, Dragon Age was faaaaaaar better.CountFenring said:So ME3 on PS3? I think it's a little too late for ME2.

Bioware devs have said multiple times on their forums that Mass Effect will not appear on PS3, and the reasoning for that decision being simply that it would be too confusing for the player to jump into ME 3 without being able to play 1 and 2.Chipperz said:snip
Shame, the "Story So Far..." set could work really well. Sure, you'd get a few people who ***** about the graphics not being as perfect as they could be, but that means they'll reveal themselves as morons to the intarwebs!Bigeyez said:Bioware devs have said multiple times on their forums that Mass Effect will not appear on PS3, and the reasoning for that decision being simply that it would be too confusing for the player to jump into ME 3 without being able to play 1 and 2.
OT: This is nothing, but good news for PS3 owners. Now they can have the awesomesauce that is Bioware RPGs on their console as well!
Dragon age is the only one to date.Doug said:Erm, ok? I'm alittle surprised - I thought they already released games on the PS3...?
Sometimes it just isn't economical for them to hire a new team to do it. Although this is great news for all. Means more money for Bioware and that means more games. I hope they keep going multiplatform though. And port the Mass Effects to you guys. No reason why we can't all get along no matter which console we prefer.mikecoulter said:I don't see why more companies don't spend the time developing for all the consoles. It all adds up as more sales.

Oh...ok... didn't know. I know I had to wait awhile for ME to get onto PC, but I just assumed they also ported to PS3 whilst they where at it.RAND00M said:Dragon age is the only one to date.Doug said:Erm, ok? I'm alittle surprised - I thought they already released games on the PS3...?
This.Kandon Arc said:Neither surprising nor exciting. There's yet to be a Bioware game that wasn't best on PC.
Personally, I found the PS3 version to be better looking than the X360 version. I actually thought that the X360 version looked like a port, while the PS3 version looked more like a parallel project. Though the difference is not that big, and PC version is still by far the best.Treblaine said:Well dragons age origins was graphically worse on PS3 so if that is a precedent I don't have high hopes for the future.
Nah, wouldn't work. Maybe if it was set in a completely different time (like, for example, playing as Sagacious Tien) but otherwise, I can't see them doing it without ruining the series.Daedalus1942 said:Jade Empire II? ohpleaseohpleaseohpleaseohpleaseohpleaseohpleaseohpleaseohpleaseohpleaseohpleaseohpleaseohpleaseohpleaseohpleaseohpleaseohpleaseohpleaseohpleaseohpleaseohplease.Psychosocial said:Yeah, releasing the third part of an insanely story driven series sounds like one hell of an idea.
