They said to give it a few more days so other people can finish the game first. That's "days" as opposed "posts on an internet message board." Patience, grasshopper.
But I'm antsy now!

In truth, like a lot of people on those forums, I've been eating/sleeping/breathing the ME3 ending fiasco for days now. People are still on an emotional high from the game and are desperate for closure, so they're obsessive, and getting cranky. It would help if I had something else to do, but GW2, Civ 5 expansion, Witcher 2 EE...this shit is all weeks away at best, months at worst, and the Canucks have suddenly decided to start sucking, and TOR is way too similar to ME3, so I'm kind of at a loss for things to do.

Hence...refresh forums, shake fist at Bioware...repeat...

Y'know Bioware, listening is all well and good but I think the vast majority of us would prefer you just tell us what's going on, even if it's not what we want to hear. Cryptic tweets and non-committal "announcements" isn't helping defuse the situation.

So far the "we're listening" thread is at 106 pages with zero response from anyone at Bioware.

It's kind of like telling your girlfriend you're listening and then slipping out of the apartment and going to the bar.
I still wouldn't doubt it, at least not judging by their past:

Fans hated the Mako. Make was replaced.
Fans hated the first inventory system. Inventory was scrapped.
Fans wanted less dice rolls involved in shooting. So it was.
Fans wanted to date/bone Tali and Garrus. And it happened.
Fans wanted less or no planet scanning. There was less planet scanning.
Fans wanted bigger hub areas. The Citadel was greatly expanded.
Fans hated boring human male squadmate. They got a different boring human male squadmate.
Fans hated that boring human male squadmate. They got a douchey male squadmate.
Fans wanted multiplayer. Well...they got it anyway.

And there's more...but I'm getting bored. Someone else can continue if they wish.
Just for the record, James Vega is one of the better written characters out there in your "whiny" list

If there's one thing you shouldn't be ripping on in mass effect 3 it should be Traynor Vega or Cortez.
They've got some of the best stories/back stories that I've seen in a while.

I was more fed up with the ridiculousness of Tali or the overusage of liara then I was with those characters.

Man. if only people bitched this hard about day one DLC's. We'd be getting free games by now.
You really manage to get over all of these Mass Effect threads, don't you? Does it really bother you THAT much?
Honestly I get where Zeel comes from to an extent. I hate seeing people get praise for screwing up when people have done what they did way better and no one recognizes it. Especially when the people getting praise both seem like they are half assing it (I say seeming since even beforehand it seemed rushed) and that they have completely forgotten their fanbase and cast them aside. I stopped being a Bioware fan shortly after DA2 when they were basically saying they don't give a damn about their old fans anymore. Especially when SWTOR was coming out and they were pretty much saying they were going to extort us for all our money for a WoW clone with Revan in it. So I get it bothering him that fans are still sucking up to Bioware when they are being complete dicks to their old fans who have legitimate complaints and have gone a very off putting route of sensoring everything they don't like. Though I wouldn't bother trying to convince fanboys otherwise I might as well try to stop the ocean from moving.

Yet there has been mass disappointment about the game in general outside of this site, not just the ending or DLC.

Ehhh...no. Almost everything I hear is "It was outstanding until the last 10 minutes".

I didn't say "whiny" even once. And you even put quotes there. I said boring, which Kaiden was. Jacob was too, but I liked him for some reason. I said Vega was douchey. That's a character trait. I can dislike a guy without thinking he's a bad character.

I am not whining. I am only expressing a deep sadness about the last 5 minutes of a trilogy casting a pall on my whole experience with something I have deeply enjoyed and am having trouble enjoying now, as a result.

For one part she's had too many annoying parts in the games for me, especially after finding out everything about the geth TWICE. and then she offs herself and I get a paragon interaction that does nothing? well whoop dee fricking doo.

And I say annoying because there's too much conversation where things are logically explained and she just goes.

But I suppose that goes for the rest of the quarians too..

As somebody who's worked for the industry before, I have to say, this whole thing is depressing. Yes, it's good for a dev to listen to customers, but they (devs in general) have so little control that seeing a fanbase get so bitchy and self-entitled that a dev is actually starting to cave and act like they need to apologise for the story they wrote is just heartbreaking. If you read a book and don't like the way it ended, you don't rip out the last few pages and send the author hate-mail until they re-write the ending for you. Gah, this whole fiasco is reminding me why I refuse to be called a "gamer". I don't have near the massive amounts of self-entitlement and nerdrage to feel at home with the community.
Is it acting entitled to expect recognition of the need for closure in players minds? I realize some people are getting a little over zealous, but some expectations are reasonable. I would return a book to where I bought it if I got to the end and it those pages just weren't there.

Man this is depressing, guess this means there isn't any indoctrination DLC huh? :( I guess I won't be buying the game after all. Seems a shame really...to have such a storied franchise and let it end with no closure.

Yea to be quite honest the ending ruined the whole game for me. As soon as I saw it I kinda just blinked and checked the internet to see if I got the best ending. Turns out I did. I'm off to Skyrim.
