Snivy should work. It sounds pretentious enough, at any rate.

Seems like with each passing game the starters look worse and worse.
Just once I'd like to see a Pokemon thread where someone didn't talk about how Pokemon was better back when they were a kid.
Someone needs to do a study where they show a bunch of 8 year old kids who have never played Pokemon which starters are the best so we can finally decide once and for all if the starters are getting crappier, or if we're getting older.

Now that a parallel between Revolver Ocelot and that bloody otter has been made, how could I not choose it?

Oh yeah, because I'm not getting the game. Oh well...

I have a 10 year old brother. His first Pokemon game was Platinum. When I as him which Pokemon look the dumbest, he always says multiple ones from each generation. He actually thinks Jynx is the worst out of all of them.

So yeah, I'm tempted to believe most people who think the old Pokemon are better happen to be wearing rose-tinted glasses. Nostalgia can sometimes cloud your judgment.

Well jynx is ment to be a black person... *so says people from back in the day and y they banned that one episode with jynx on it* but honestly when i was a kid i thought that was a stupid looking pokemon to.

I would say the art of the first 2 games is how would you say....... more thought out the newer stuff is kinda like todays games kinda shiny and catches your eyes with pretty shapes while the older ones were kinda thought out a lil bit more and has distinctive qualities that most of the newer ones dont. i can name you most if not all of the first 2 generations i played 3/4 and i honestly cant remember them to much and what they look like

Just once I would like to see some cool looking Pokemon for the current generation, but hey were both not going to get what we want from the looks of it.

I will pick Oshawott. The Water types never fail to disappoint me. Though Snivy Smugleaf turns into a snake for its final evolution, so that has some perks.

I'm not trying to suggest that the new Pokemon are all better. There are certainly some really ugly and dumb ones in the new games (ice cream? gears? fuck off). But my point is that there have always been ugly and dumb ones. You just don't think about them as much, or you don't realize how dumb they are because you grew up with them. I actually like Exeggutor, but I'll be the first to admit he makes no god damn sense. How does a bunch of eggs evolve into a psychic coconut tree? I dare you to find the logic behind that evolution.

I think this will be the first generation where I don't take the fire-type the first time around. It's final form just doesn't look as good as the other two. Still a toss up whether I take the grass or water type. Haven't decided for sure.

It's too bad that they didn't give the Internet at least a little bit of love and call it wotter. As for which pokemon starter is the best of these its gotta be the snivy or the wotter. I'm tired of the fire fighting types. Also... Breloom is still the best pokemon ever. And turtwig is the best Starter, and yes ive played every game and started with red when it came out

My new insight on pokemon says that however derpy a pokemon is can easily be negated by how much of a bro(dette) they turn out to be.

Also smugleaf will be my first choice, then maybe wotter. Yes Nintendo, I'm now aware of your names, but they blow.

So is it teh-pig or tee-pig?
I think it's suppose to be Tep-ig. Like Tepid (as in a reference to temperature - "only slightly warm; lukewarm") Pig.

Though I have to give SAMAS credit for pointing me in the right direction on it. Didn't get where they were going before, but now I think it's pretty clever. Likewise, I'd say SAMAS did a good job pointing out how Snivy is Nintendo being more clever with the names than most people may realize.

I'm gonna nickname it Smugleaf. Sounds SO much better than Snivy and I'm used to Smugleaf after all this time.

Osha...Related to 'Washa'? Like, "dish washa"? Maybe?

Watt...Related to electricity?
