I've lost more battles to Zangief than Seth.
Think about that.
Also, I play on a keyboard, so Zangief is nigh-impossible to play as. So not only is he overpowered when I fight against him, but I can't use his overpowered-ness as a fighter!
No, thats cheap tactics... nothing to do with the character. Seigfried and Nightmare are slow but powerful with some decent range, unlike Mitsurugi who is powerful, fast and has range. People dont complain about Astaroth because he is just so fucking slow but he has probably the longest reach on the game, if you learn how to play as Astaroth you can play keep away with everyone, especially other slow characters as you have longer range. The only character who can fight Astaroth with distance was the chick with the Sword and Shield who could fire lightning... which, by the way, is annoying when you get spammed by that.ScreamingNinja said:Mitsurugi I disagree with. He takes skill to pull off his moves have decently. You want OP'd, pick someone like Seigfried. I remember in Soul Blade he had a combo that was Triangle triangle Triangle. Once he got you once with it you could keep spamming it and you couldn't do anything. Mitsurugi in Soul Calibur... such a noob character.

Also Kilik is unlockable, just like Edgemaster. I believe Kilik uses the new guy's skill set with a few attacks changed.
Say hello to Mr. Rocket Launcher. Or Mrs. Fuel Rod. Or the Sniper Rifle. Or the Spartan Laser... Take your pick. Heck, even the Plasma Pistol can disable it and a grenade will take it down as well. Now I think about it, a Scoprpion is incredibly vulnerable in any kind of close range and some long range as well.erttheking said:Do vehicles count? I wouldn't go that far, but... not my style of play, all I'm sayin'.Stagnant said:Prefix 1: Drunk

Number #1: Mixup and crossover game is great, but her standing move priority ranges from slightly above average to "you've gotta be kidding"-ly low. Aerial normal move priority is absolutely shitty. (All) Her crouching normals' speed and priority is (still) boss, though. ;PI'm kinda an zippity-do-da, poke'n'punish kinda guy, but also noted.Answer to your problems: Jump back fireball.
Number #2: *snipped*Answer to your problems: Jump back fireball better.Number #3: **snipped thrice**Prefer to juggle &/or OTG into a hyper combo, but again, noted.Answer to your problems: super, then jump back fireball well.

Not implying, flat out saying... I dont play as any OP character or use any OP weapon. I find out what weapons/characters are what and if they are OP I never use them from then on, its not difficult to avoid doing and when I win its all skill.lacktheknack said:>implying you wouldn't ever use an overpowered character if given the chanceKinguendo said:Dont complain about something and then want to use it... poor show old boy, poor show.lacktheknack said:Screw Sagat, he's a kitty compared to Zangief.

Sebulba is a cheap bastard because of his weight and the fact that he has an illegal flamethrower. Sure, he can't maneuver for shit, but he's heavy enough that if you ram into him, he can shove you into rocks or set you on fire. The Preened Mr. Fust said:6. Sebulba
to be fair you can hard counter karthus with a soraka.MurderousToaster said:Hello, my name is Trydamere. You appear to have your entire team and a turret on me. I do not give a single fuck.scrambledeggs said:Hmm, lets see, Tryndamere and Morgana. Those two should be permabanned.
Morgana's never been that bad for me, to be honest. But, then again, I do normally play Gangplank so I just eat some oranges and get out of her stupid snares, and they're not all that hard to move out of the way of once you've bought some boots.
And while I wouldn't say that Karthus is strictly "overpowered", he's fucking irritating as hell. It's like they designed a character to be expressly annoying. Keeps casting after dead and has an ult that damages every enemy currently alive.
The music was worth the watch alone. The Wykydtron said:gigastar said:What i do for Zero players is advance guard them then use either a special counter or projectile if it travels low enough, no Zero player ive ever met uses guard. The Wykydtron said:Oh yeah, Zero... The only character i'll ever tag PW out for before he's got all his evidence. A good Zero will be on you before you get your shield up or even get your first piece of evidence.JdaS said:Wesker isn't all that bad. You have Zero who can get a kill off of a single hit confirm, and Spencer whose combos are not exclusive to Combofiend. Wesker is good, yes, but not brokentier. If anything he's piss-easy to use and thus quite boring, but nothing truly sets him apart from the rest of the top tier members of the cast. The Wykydtron said:Wesker in UMVC3. Not sure if that last patch a few days ago did jack to him but he has:
High health, high speed with a load of teleports just for extra lols, high bloody damage, an piss easy downward gunshot that hits OTG to extend combos (can be used multiple times and as an assist.)
Oh and who could forget Maximum Wesker? It's a full screen hyper that randomly crosses up (you blocked it? Tough shit) and can be near impossible to punish if he knows what he's doing. Oh yeah if his glasses get broken (or taken off as part of Maximum Wesker's introduction) he has permanent Lvl 1 X Factor, so he gets even MORE damage and speed.
It also stacks with regular X Factor so he's the only character in the game who can reach Lvl 4 X Factor.
It's a proven fact that any team, no matter how difficult WILL work if you add Wesker to it.
Did i forget anything?
Most claims of "OP" and "brokentier" (hell even claims of "nerfed to death") in this day and age are kneejerk reactions by stream monsters who'd rather cry for nerfs and patches on week one than learn to play the game.
I immediately tag Ammy in, much more balanced than Zero vs Phoenix Wright.
Also if you remember our earlier discussion on Wesker, i found this glorious nugget.
.........
Mother of god.... Dat gunshot
As for other glorious nuggets, here's some 3v1 Dante comeback goodness. Quite basic Dante combos really (not that I could ever pull them off online. I find Dante to be too sensitive, every move canceling into everything else by one button press makes me panic and fuck up) but the "presentation" makes up for it.
