Wait, it's gonna cost 60 bucks?
I'll allow it. It's a Blizzard game, not Cod25 with a 2 hour campaign and copy paste multiplayer.

And it has always on DRM?
That is some bullshit indeed, but I do want to play this with friends anyway, so it doesn't affect me.

GeorgW said:
And a real money auction house?
Don't care, never gonna use it. Might even prove useful later when I have an MF character all set up (if MF still exists, don't know).

People can complain about "Blizzard time" all they want, but dammit, they always make sure they use that time to make their games as bug-free as possible. Regardless of whether or not you wanna complain about balance issues or story issues, the one thing Blizzard never fails at is QA testing. (I'm looking at you Bethesda and Obsidian)

With Diablo III? HAhahahahahahaha good luck with that

Screw you Activision for tainting this big a thing for gaming. This even eclipses EA's Mass Effect 3 shenanigans. ._.
Why because they are offering exclusive content for WoW and Starcraft? WoW is full of exclusive content that you can only get one way, and what will they do for starcraft? it's not like they can release extra armor or weapons, if anything it will be small bonus stuff like extra MP maps, or in game artwork.
Well, the portraits in SCII yes, but, they can also change how the units look. With the SCII collectors edition for example people got a special Thor skin that can be used in multiplayer.

It's interesting to me you come on a lot of these D3 news threads saying you just want T2. But then why do you bother looking at the news articles with titles about D3.
I'm not actively seeking out every diablo 3 discussion. This one was on the front page in big huge letters, so I clicked it.

It's still a skin, it doesn't make your units any stronger than if you didn't have it

I played the Beta. I had my trepidations at first about the always on stuff and auction house. But the beta changed those trepidations into confirmation that I was absolutely NOT going to buy this game.

It wasn't even fun. It was also laggy. Maybe my roommate was downloading something, I don't know,. What I do know is my single player game should not have fucking latency issues no matter who is downloading what. I mean these were BAD. Like, fire a spell, watch the animation, wait 1 second and then the projectile releases and enemies teleport everywhere as the game syncs, BAD.

^Yup.

I can't hack the constant net connection for single player, nor do I want to encourage the single-player-games-as-services trend that's inevitably going to kill gaming for me once and for all.

As someone who watches majority of pro tournaments in SC2 I think I've seen the CE Thor only appear once or twice in last year. Not big deal really.

Still 60 euro (because that's the EU price, hurray...) for unfinished game (PvP got cut..among other things) is little steep. Sorry Blizzard.
And where is HotS release date by the way? It was supposed to come way before Diablo 3 :<

I don't understand about the always on thing being a bad thing. Shit 95% of my games are on steam, so...yeah. I am so addicted to the net that I'll got without food if I have to, to make sure that I have net.

So I am literally always on the net, thus its not an issue for me.

I'm buying the collector's Edition myself, of this and the WoW expac, and the CE of Heart of the Swarm. Whenever that comes out.

Now if only it were May 15 five years ago... you know when they apparently completed the game once. Sorry, I only have one fuck left to give and it ain't going to be here. Nothing like emotionless golems killing stuff, taking loot, and repeating. I only came here because I wanted to see all the excited people for a 2013 release date. Well, they proved me wrong. Whatever. :D

Oww, and I just got into the beta. Though, I guess I still have time to whoop skeleton king's ass a great many times before release.

As much as I'm looking forward to this, I refuse to pay $60 for a game. $50 is my max and only a small number of games will get that. D3 is one of them but it looks like I'll wait for a sale........exactly what I'm doing with ME3.

Hmm.. given all of the build up and then some of Blizzard's own questionable decisions during development, I actually find that I can't muster up much excitement for this. Don't get me wrong, I was extremely hyped at one point but now that I know it's actually only a couple of months away I can't muster much more than a "Meh."

The long-awaited action RPG arrives early summer.
[/spoiler]

Wow! I am trying so hard to contain my excitement. I've been waiting for this game for years. Not a week goes by where I don't think about it at least once, now it's finally here!!

I do have some concerns about it, but nothing that really comes close to putting me off from buying it. It's so close too!

tprchlight 2? really? I mean, that game was cute and all, but once d3 hits, there wont be room for any other pseudo isometric loot gathering beat em up.
Well, single player will actually be single player, it has MP with no auction house and it will support community mods. Rumor has it Runic is aiming for a $20 release price as well. How this doesn't sound more lurcrative to people than Diablo 3 I just don't know.

Was anyone impressed by the beta? Playing the beta firmly made me decided I WASN'T going to get D3. It was boring, it was laggy and their skill system is still up shit creek. Hell, if you ask me it's WORSE than it was before they overhauled the entire skill system. And this game is releasing in 2 months? Hell, at least in Torchlight 2 I get to assign my fucking stats.

I predict a LOT of disappointment when people finally get to play D3. I'm just glad I got to try it out early to save myself the money.

The Blizzard Activision union was the most unholy thing to ever happen in the gaming industry. Its like Satan having a love child with Kali at least as far as greed goes.

Hasn't $60 been the standard for a new game for a couple years now?
If you buy console games yes. PC has almost always been cheaper. Enter CoD and BF those two titles pushed the $60 price tag ono pc gamers and now everyone of jumping on it.

Blizzard games have almost always been 60 dollars. Warcraft 3 was for sure.
