I hope the bastards from my gameshop site where I usually buy my games keep the preorder that I have made back in September 2011 valid.

Or else...

Now with that out of the way,the wait for this game is finally more tolerable.Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition,Risen 2 Dark Waters will keep me entertained in April while waiting for Diablo 3.

I just want Torchlight 2.
It's interesting to me you come on a lot of these D3 news threads saying you just want T2. But then why do you bother looking at the news articles with titles about D3.
I'm not actively seeking out every diablo 3 discussion. This one was on the front page in big huge letters, so I clicked it.
tprchlight 2? really? I mean, that game was cute and all, but once d3 hits, there wont be room for any other pseudo isometric loot gathering beat em up.
Well, single player will actually be single player, it has MP with no auction house and it will support community mods. Rumor has it Runic is aiming for a $20 release price as well. How this doesn't sound more lurcrative to people than Diablo 3 I just don't know.

Was anyone impressed by the beta? Playing the beta firmly made me decided I WASN'T going to get D3. It was boring, it was laggy and their skill system is still up shit creek. Hell, if you ask me it's WORSE than it was before they overhauled the entire skill system. And this game is releasing in 2 months? Hell, at least in Torchlight 2 I get to assign my fucking stats.

I predict a LOT of disappointment when people finally get to play D3. I'm just glad I got to try it out early to save myself the money.
Ah so youre going to judge the game on an old beta on the first 1/3rd of the first 1/5 of the game, good for you. Runic will be selling torchlight 2 for 20 bucks because its a 20 dollar game. You get what you pay for (with blizzard anyway)
Oh, this argument again.
Yes, I'm going to judge it based on the beta because there will be no demo. What do you want me to do, spend $60 on something I'm pretty sure I won't like just so I can come on here and, with absolute certainty, claim my disatisfaction to you? That's absolutely absurd. Your approval is not worth $60 to me.

A company needs to earn my dollar, I'm not going to carelessly throw bills into the wind at a whim. If the beta doesn't reflect fully the final state or quality of the product guess whose problem that is? Blizzard's. Not mine.

At the end of the day, the forced online single player is an absolute deal breakers for me and no amount of it being a full release is going to change that fact.

I...I...I almost didn't believe that heading, and now I'm all giddy!

I guess I should start informing my friends and family what is going on, and where they will find me for a good while.

Well shit... by all mean I am glad that the date had been annouce but I was really hoping Guild Wars 2 would be out first (rumour is GW 2 would be out in June but it's not 100% official). It's unlikely GW 2 would be out first seeing how Blizzard had the beta going months ago while it's this Apirl that there will be a public beta for Gw 2.

EDIT- Now I think about it, would this mean those beta giveaway winners annoucement would be soon?

Every time someone calls Diablo an RPG, a little, harmless kitten is sacrificed on Satans Altar in the Depths of Hell.

Please remember that.

Think of the kittens.

And a million wheezy gamer voices collectively cried out in joy.
How many of those are still gona be happy the day after launch is yet to be determined.

I was thinking about getting this game, but I'd rather pass and get GW2.

Blizzard, Shut up and take my money.

And we're off... the countdown begins as every day those who have already downloaded it open the installer... praying it will skip through time and space and unlock early.

Wait, it's gonna cost 60 bucks? And it has always on DRM? And a real money auction house? Holy shit they have big balls. I guess they assume we're all so eager to get Diablo 3 that we'll ignore all their BS, but I really hope we're not. It's time to stand together, people!

i fail to see how a 60 dollar price tag is a negative
I'm not necessarily saying it's negative, I'm saying it's ballsy as hell. The DRM crap is a huge negative though, and the combination of all 3 is money-grubbing BS. I realise it's a company and they have to make money, but they know how many people are longing to play this, and the way they're handling this is akin to extortion. They're forcing their fans to jump through hoops for the "privilege" to play the game they payed for, at a premium cost no less. And with the new focus on the PvP, you can now pay for power with real money, given that you pay off Blizzard of course. They want to get payed not once, not twice, but three times for every piece of loot people want to sell, in a game with a massive emphasis on loot. That's not business, that's consumer-hating greed.

With Diablo III? HAhahahahahahaha good luck with that
See, that's the problem. Just cuz we're all salivating for it doesn't mean they're allowed to screw us over. There is a competitor out there with Torchlight 2, so why the hell should I award Blizzard my money when they've done everything they could to make me realise that I and every single one of you are nothing but a pile of money in their eyes.

I'll allow it. It's a Blizzard game, not Cod25 with a 2 hour campaign and copy paste multiplayer.

That is some bullshit indeed, but I do want to play this with friends anyway, so it doesn't affect me.

Don't care, never gonna use it. Might even prove useful later when I have an MF character all set up (if MF still exists, don't know).
I can agree that for a lot of people it's worth 60 bucks, it's just the combination of the three that pisses me off. Though, to be fair, I wasn't gonna buy it regardless as soon as I heard about the DRM. This however is just overkill, and has driven me to resent Blizzard.

Thank you for making the responce I was going to do.

Although I would have used the "I am always online anyway" rather than the friends, but they both work.
But what if your internet breaks down for a short while? I don't know about you, but that's a big problem for me. If I'm gonna pay 60$ for a PC game, I sure as hell want to play it at my leisure. Also, I liked to play D2 on the road, given how much of a time sink it is it's a great use of the travel time. This completely kills that. I realise this is a personal problem, but it's one I know I share with a lot of Diablo fans, and it pisses me off that Blizzard are just going to disregard us.

I played the Beta. I had my trepidations at first about the always on stuff and auction house. But the beta changed those trepidations into confirmation that I was absolutely NOT going to buy this game.

It wasn't even fun. It was also laggy. Maybe my roommate was downloading something, I don't know,. What I do know is my single player game should not have fucking latency issues no matter who is downloading what. I mean these were BAD. Like, fire a spell, watch the animation, wait 1 second and then the projectile releases and enemies teleport everywhere as the game syncs, BAD.
I'm no fan of Blizzard at the moment, but do keep in mind that it's a beta. You really shouldn't judge it until you've seen the final product. No, what worries me more is the way they've simplified it.

Welp seeing as a year-WoW-subscriber the game is free, I guess I'm anticipating my perk of paying for their MMO for a year.

Asides the extremely bright paladin-tyrael horse.

If you don't want to buy it then don't, but don't expect the rest of us to follow suit. Just because you see something as greedy, money grabbing, or screwing us over, doesn't mean the rest of us do. You may not like the choices they make, but they made them and they made them for reasons not apparent to us. Unless you get to see the entire budget for their game, you can not accurately claim that they are just trying to take our money.

Pretty much this. I don't like what Blizzard did with Diablo 3. Also what's the deal with the 60 dollar price tags. Not cool.
No, you don't like what Blizz seems to be doing with D3. There is a big difference between "eh, I probably won't like that" and "I don't like that.
Unless you have played the game (not the beta, the real game) you can't say anything about how you don't like it. Its like sayingI don't like the Avengers movie coming out. It just doesn't make any sense.
Even if you played the beta, that is just thr fucking beta. Betas are supposed to be laggy, choppy, unbalanced, and overall shitty. Blizz has been getting much better about responding to the public, so I don't understand how the real game could be the same as the beta.
