You guys had to bring up furries? Really? The horde have had anthropomorphic cows since the beginning and all of a sudden they go all "lol furries" about this?
1. there aren't too many people with bovine 'fursonas' running around. They're all predators, most of which are canids. Edit: undulate furrs are usually horses but more often deer. Specifically white-tailed. But I did see a Pronghorn one once.

2. The Tauren head does not have the same kind of cartoony proportions or style.

3. There is nothing cute (the cuddly kind or not) about the tauren face - male or female.
Also: Do some research before spewing ignorance.

Again before you try and be a cock and suggest that because someone doesn't like furrs and the fandom that they don't know any thing about it, don't assume that they aren't one themselves. Melissa O'Brian, while very talented and someone who's artwork I've followed for years, is a single example and almost all of her work is more cartoony than realism. She knows her anatomy sure, but I'd call it stylized realism, but not of the kind that Synnabar does which is more muted in color and has different proportions. Also, Frisket is also a canidfurr - a NAID.

Sell your cries of fursection elsewhere, I'm not ignorant nor am I an outsider. Being critical of a minority's actions =/= hating or not being a member of said minority.

Edit: if you were really gonna throw anthro art at me then you should know that I made my avatar out of Heather Lueterman's "Black Rabbit of Inle". (Yes I did it intentionally) She's also a big WoW fan btw, her fanart is among the best.

Firstly,

They look far to similar to Dreanei females, even the stills of their animations remind me of Dreanei females. It is obviously that their original structure and model was taken from Dreanei Females.

Secondly,

For once I'd like to see a female in a race taller/bigger then the males. Males can look more violent/etc and cool but it would have been really interesting to finally make a race where females were larger. They could have made it happen with this race because they are part animal, some species of animals have females larger. Not saying females should look buff, rather males should be smaller and/or thinner.
I agree, it could be interesting, they should try an avian race. The wings would be a ***** to deal with in armor though. I'd be terrified they'd look like laser chickens.

Looks like the Egyptian god Anubis, sort of. Coyote-ish. Obviously the preference for worgen model is a situation of Your mileage may vary, and don't forget, it is a work in progress. Also, I don't get the furry thing in a world with humanoid female tree's (dryads), walking cows, (you know who), goat legged beings galore, Shrek, the antagonists of three billy goats gruff, The walking-talking-dead, the lollipop guild, Dwarves are badass, Barrel chested Aliens, dragons, a few variations of elves, anthropomorphic pandas, Succubi, and Jordi Lapforge. there's a lot of fetish fuel to go around and a lot of crazy stuff that I haven't even mentioned. Focusing on this gender of this single race is a little unfair :/

It's Fur-tastic!

That being said, Good for them. I guess. More good vs evil imbalances though, as no one really wants to be a goblin. It's pretty bad at this point.
What, really? Horde outnumbers Alliance on both my servers.
According to the official poll, Alliance outnumbers Horde by around 100,000, or somewhere in that ballpark... still pretty damn close, considering that there are over 11 million players.

Oh, and 67% of the Horde are Blood Elves. Sad but true.

I guess my Worgen's gonna have to be male.

I know that male trolls are technically taller than female ones, but since males hunch over almost all the time, the females end up being taller. :) But yeah, I agree. I'd like to see something different like that.

Wait... you mean that one race with digitigrade [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digigrade]-based legs looks similar to another race with digitigraded legs? NAW! I think you're smoking something. That makes NO sense.
Actually their whole body shape is based on Dreanei females, sorry that you failed to notice that. Also the positions of their movements are exactly like Dreanei female animations. Just look at the way they stand, shoulders back, their middle part is extremely curved, if you cannot see the obvious similarities then you MUST be blind (irl) or have an extreme mental disabilities... But even then someone with a mental disability would themselves easily see the structural similarities.

I really don't expect dog/wolf women to have the type of posture that these models have... Even the males themselves are bent forward because they are obvious wolf-men (and they are meant to run on all fours when they need to).

It was the same for Blood Elves, the first preview were based on Night Elf models. But it just seems odd to me that they spend THIS much time waiting to release female werewolves, yet they just copy/paste female Dreanei (for this preview at least) anyway?

Counting down until the furry fandom 34's the female Worgen. *starts a stopwatch*

Edit: Also counting down until when Anonymous will collectively create accounts to hyper-troll every single Worgen player ever.
Its rather funny that you seem to be making a furry joke, and have a... whats that? something that looks like a.. .wait... a furry as your avatar?

Okey enough about that over to the topic.

I like them, but as everyone point out they lack hair (although some of the leaked material showed worgen with hair, so I think they will get it soon)

As for the whole furry thing. Get over it people. Seriously! Sure furry is a weird fetish, and nothing I would ever try, but why does everything that is bipedal-animal have to be furry? Seems everytime I read about worgen its either being put in the Twillight or furry category, what gives?

They seem copy pasted because they are using the draenei animation set. Mainly because it is the closest they come anatomically speaking. As for the Belfs, I think they used the nelf animations on them because belfs had those in vanilla wow.

all in all the animations are probably changing.

honestly, they look like a re-skinned draenei model, they're too attractive and look more like foxes than they need to, loving the claws and the ear detail, but they need to have more ruffled fur and the feet need work, they look EXACTLY like draenei hooves, just with a change to paws, also they share the 36/24/36 with the draenei which takes heavily away from the ferocity of the wolf form, overall, I am impressed though, I expected much worse.

I think they look alright. Like others have pointed out, need to wait for animations to make final judgment. They look kinda Anubian, which is kinda cool. I'm glad they're trying to differentiate the females more then just "male worgen with boobs", at the very least.

What do you guys think? Do you like how the female Worgen look? Are you more or less likely to create one now?
What do I think?
WHAT DO I THINK?

I think it's a f******g disgrace to Werewolf-fans across the world.
They've thrown away the classic awesome Worgen model to replace it with a f******g kitty-kat.
This pisses me off to no end. If I ever thought of getting Cataclysm just for the sake of it, THIS is what finally pulled the straw.

That is not a Werewolf, nor is it a Worgen.
Just No.
Not seeing the cat, man. It's pretty canine to me.

Really?
Let me show you it.

You should see now from where exactly the Female Worgen gets it's look from.

Definitely looks more like the bottom than the top. Only similarity is the short hair, and they'll have longer hair in-game.

...
There is nothing I can say constructively as a response.
It's just bad that you don't want to see it since it's as obvious as a clear day >_>

All they've done is pulled out the nozzle.
Funny, because you know, that's kind of WHAT MAKES IT A DOG.

P.S. It's called a muzzle.

I'm more interested in the mechanics for thier "form switching".

Can I do everything in human form? In which case, who else will be rolling a Worgen for thier racials and then spending all thier time in human form?

Human druid, huzzah!
