I was looking forward to SCG for the longest time. Loved the Ghost unit, loved Sarah Kerrigan, and love stealth games.

Now I'm just looking forward to the Imperial Agent class in TOR.

Pants do NOT work that way, no matter how tight.
That ass is an impossibility.
Unless the pants were specifically designed to do that.

Or maybe she's not wearing pants. Maybe they just painted over her skin with some sort of... latex paint, I guess?
It's the future, pants can totally do that

It's been a while since I've seen that picture. And still I have the same reaction:
DAT ASS

OT:
If the modding tool in SC2 is powerful enough, we might see this in some form as a custom map in SC2.
pretty much, yeah.

Great! Now that they make 2 billion a year from WOW subscriptions alone, they can hire the people they need to get back to work on it! /sarcasm

Maybe Blizzard will stop only caring about its money in hell.

"Starcraft:Ghost" is like this decade's "Duke Nukem Forever". It had way too much hype for something that was 99% certain to simply be derivative of other better games and cashing in on the franchise name.

But the hardcore believers will not give up on it, regardless of the fact that nobody's ever gotten their hands on it to PLAY it and figure out if it was any good or not.

why does everyone think that blizzard would have done this well?
what shooters have they done well? um none because they haven't made one before. I'd rather a company stick to what its good at than make a game which they have no prior knowledge of the market of.
Yes, because all market models should completely remove creativity, innovation and risk because those three things hurt sales, product movement and label saturation... right?

*rolleyes*

From how slowly WoW "evolves", they don't need to cancel anything in order to continue it's development. And besides, there are MILLIONS playing WoW non-stop, that must mean they're totally into what's already there.

Blizzard should think about their other fans as well, I'm personally not a WoW hater, just not into that sort of thing, but there have been absolutely no games in the SC universe apart SC and SC2 which are like 12 years apart ...

SC being my all time favorite RTS :(.

Edit: But hey, at least the SC2 single player didn't disappoint, haven't tried BNet yet but it sucks hard that they removed all possibility of LAN ... the cash-hungry whores. (They only did it to get more cash out of the Korean televised matches, because the "pirates" will eventually find a way to emulate the new BNet just as they did with the first, so it's just an inconvenience for them)

Isn't the general consensus (from people who played SC:Ghost at the first Blizzcon) that it was... well, "shit".

I'm glad they shelved it to be frank.

Shut down WoW and Starcraft's. Keep on with Diablo III.
thats just silly.
And nonsensical. Sure don't buy games if YOU don't enjoy them, but theres definitely a huge fanbase and a fairly decent mythology. Mindless trolling doesn't help anybody.
Nope. I'm not trolling. It's just that I don't care for StarCraft nor WarCraft. I don't hate them, just don't care for them, because I don't like to play them. Then again I'm excited about Diablo III finally coming to life at some point, and would prefer Blizzard steered their resources towards it. I rather express my own opinion than think of which product has the biggest fanbase.

This may be the first time I've heard about a company having to make cuts of any description due to being wildly successful.

You mean like all the MMOs they did before WoW.
Yeah just because they can do a succesful genre leap (and given certain elements of wc3 it wasnt a HUGE LEAP) doesn't mean they will into every other genre. Infact thats absurd on the face of it.

Im not saying they couldn't ever make a good game out of it, nor am i saying its a bad setting (because it is a great setting) im saying it had a fair chance of being a clunker due to them having no experience in the area. A lot of people seem to be blind to that chance.
Considering they can still pump out MMOs and RTSs that crush all competition, and are still able to balance them and deal with constant bickering and complaining from the communities that play them, I'm pretty sure Blizzard could make any genre of game they wanted, and have it be a pretty good success. It won't be a Halo or Gran Turismo, but it'll still be a pretty good game.

Blizzard sticks to their strengths because its better to dominate a few things than be pretty good at everything.

If you take a look at C&C:Renegade you propably know one of the reasons ghost was shelved. Just sayin'.
Oh hush. Renegade was awesome.

It's nice to finally see why Ghost got cancelled/delayed/whatever. Maybe they're reactivating it with that new future Call of Duty-type title Activision/Sledgehammer is making?

Blizzard keep saying they might come back to SC: ghost, if there is time.
Everytime asked they say SC: ghost is not canceled just postpone.

Furthermore, I would want them postpone SC: ghost rather than SC2... Not a big shooter fan myself.

To them this is definely the right choice. They can't cancel SC2 that is for certain because it is not a spinoff. WoW already prove to be a big success; even though, WoW was pretty buggy at launch. Plus the fact they can't cut a already released game that leaves SC: ghost.
and they need the to fix the bugs in WoW.

Very good point. Maybe they only employ the best 100 :S.
