Hehe, that is quite an ass, beautiful little thing.Kris015 said:Tried to read, but the picture distracted me...
Nope. I'm not trolling. It's just that I don't care for StarCraft nor WarCraft. I don't hate them, just don't care for them, because I don't like to play them. Then again I'm excited about Diablo III finally coming to life at some point, and would prefer Blizzard steered their resources towards it. I rather express my own opinion than think of which product has the biggest fanbase.bahumat42 said:thats just silly.benzooka said:Shut down WoW and Starcraft's. Keep on with Diablo III.
And nonsensical. Sure don't buy games if YOU don't enjoy them, but theres definitely a huge fanbase and a fairly decent mythology. Mindless trolling doesn't help anybody.
Considering they can still pump out MMOs and RTSs that crush all competition, and are still able to balance them and deal with constant bickering and complaining from the communities that play them, I'm pretty sure Blizzard could make any genre of game they wanted, and have it be a pretty good success. It won't be a Halo or Gran Turismo, but it'll still be a pretty good game.bahumat42 said:Yeah just because they can do a succesful genre leap (and given certain elements of wc3 it wasnt a HUGE LEAP) doesn't mean they will into every other genre. Infact thats absurd on the face of it.SonofSeth said:You mean like all the MMOs they did before WoW.bahumat42 said:why does everyone think that blizzard would have done this well?
what shooters have they done well? um none because they haven't made one before. I'd rather a company stick to what its good at than make a game which they have no prior knowledge of the market of.
Im not saying they couldn't ever make a good game out of it, nor am i saying its a bad setting (because it is a great setting) im saying it had a fair chance of being a clunker due to them having no experience in the area. A lot of people seem to be blind to that chance.
Oh hush. Renegade was awesome.Farotsu said:If you take a look at C&C:Renegade you propably know one of the reasons ghost was shelved. Just sayin'.

Mmm... You do understand they wasn't really rich until WoW. Also at launch, WoW was filled with bugs. It wasn't until half year later it became more playable. At that time, the WoW income isn't pump in yet but WoW already need more resource to fix those bugs.chris89300 said:GHudston said:This may be the first time I've heard about a company having to make cuts of any description due to being wildly successful.
Very good point. Maybe they only employ the best 100 :S.

Also Blizzard is too honest about it. Somethings are better kept unknown.
By the way, does that mean SC: ghost might be what the fifth team at blizzard is working on?
I understand your point that people don't take into consideration the possibility of it being bad, especially because the game is in a genre in which Blizzard has never proven itself to be good at. Hell, I'm somewhat of a Blizzard fan myself and I can't understand why people talk and praise so much a game that was never released.bahumat42 said:not really WoW just built on the hero elements out of Wc3 its hardly genre defying.Trogdor1138 said:Haha, owned.SonofSeth said:You mean like all the MMOs they did before WoW.bahumat42 said:why does everyone think that blizzard would have done this well?
