Is nuke spam considered cheating?
Did you download a modified EXE to allow you to nuke spam? Or did you use a lot of ghosts and stuff? If it's the second one you are fine.
four ghost academies plus four ghosts = spam that infuriates most enemies
Thats perhaps the most retarded strategy I've ever heard of. That would cost around a billion gas and you can easily see the dot and avoid the nukes completely.
Maybe it works in Bronze, but hey, I'm sure observer rushes work in bronze.
You don't use it on armies. You can bring a base down pretty quick using that strategy but yes there are much more resource efficient methods I just use that one when I feel like having some kicks and giggles.

I just have to say, "Hell, it's about time." Maybe now I'll be able to play an online multiplayer match without getting my ass handed to me (or maybe I just really, really suck, and in that case, I'm doomed anyhow. =/ ).
The MP learning curve for SC is fairly steep. You might want to watch replays if you really want to get good at it.

One major no-no for Terrans or Protoss: Having only one of a production structure. For Terrans, you want a minimum of two. Get three or four if it's your primary focus as far as strategy goes (In 3v3s, I generally spam vikings, which translates into a minimum of 3 Starports with Reactors). For Protoss, you'll want two of advanced tech buildings, and anywhere from 4 to "holy shit" gateways. Warpgate tech is best tech.

Thanks for the info, it's very kind of you, but I didn't start gaming yesterday. =)

Eh, I was terrible at the original in retrospect, and I'm passably passable at SC2. I know how badly I was playing the first now, so I'd like to help others avoid those pitfalls.

Never going to be anything past Silver though, I don't think. But I'm cool with this.

A bunch of people are about to get Hyperioned? Well, it's high time we kick that revolution into gear. Down with the hackers.
I see what you did there and I approve.

Honestly, I haven't seen too many instances of cheating yet. Maybe it's all in the gold and platinum standings but in that case I would just think any of those players are cheating because I suck ha ha. But I love it when Blizzard pulls out the mighty banhammer of great justice!

Hacking reaally isn't as big as people think it does happen and yeah it's too much if it happens once but man alot of the sc2 players are just bad. If you play and you have one of those "how did he know!?" moments. Realize that ten to one that cute lil proxy spot you saw on youtube isn't some trick only you and one other guy knows. heh. I've been called a hacker before when in reality I am just paranoid and I am familiar with most of the "cute" plays people throw around on ladder. On the upside no more crazy SEA realms having a warp in Immortal's an such.

Considering apparently getting banned will lock you out of the single player content as well (presumably fixed by using the Guest account), it's seems that Blizzard has been taken notes from Valve and turned up the anti-cheat to 11. (Although apparently getting banned in Starcraft 2 won't ban you in WoW. Too much money involved, most likely)

Good. I don't play Starcraft, but I despise the type of people who hack/mod with a passion. Like WTF you know? If you ACTUALLY get satisfaction from beating people in that way, then you may be the biggest loser on the planet. For god's sake, I saw cheaters online in Mario Kart Wii. They had a bullet bill for the duration of the race, requiring no user input whatsoever, and I thought, "Wow you must be having a lot of fun watching yourself beat a bunch of 12 year olds by cheating. Congrats"
