There's two companies in the world who make PC exclusive games: Blizzard and Valve. I'm worried this may further weaken the position the PC has in the gaming market.
I hope the Pc gets weaker then since it just seems to give the PC market good games in genres that it never got like

Dirt 2 (racing game certainly aren't big in PC land)
Resident evil 5 (3rd person shooter)
street fighter 4 (arcade beat'em up now all we need is capcom to buy namco so I can get a soul calibre release)
Assassins creed (3rd person platformer)
^and being the better versions

and a devil may cry game that actually works

"We will most definitely eventually make things for the consoles at some time in the future most likely."

That is the answer I would have given, which shows that I would be awful at PR.

ya just like how we were "definitely" suppose to get duke nukem forever, or how E.T was "definitely" going to be awsome, or my personal favorite cd add on's are "definitely" the way of the future for console gaming
Sega was always way ahead of its time. Wait... We are talking about the Sega CD, right?

No, Diablo is too pure for Xbox 360. Or any console. It would only get dirty with those analog sticks (wink wink) and 8 buttons to do what... 18 buttons are doing? 8 F1-F8 for skills, 1, 2, 3 and 4 for potions, A, S, O, I, M, N, R, W, Q.... 21 without counting the less important ones, like numpad 0-9 or the scroll wheel.
Actually, if they use a similar concept to the Champions of Norrath, a dual scrollable spell bar, quick spells assignable to a D-Pad (OK, the 360 would need a better D-Pad for this to work) and customizable buttons otherwise, I think this could work perfectly fine. The only change would probably have to be that the world is contiguous instead of having each spot discrete, standing on one and hitting a monster on another, but they might be doing that in Diablo 3 anyway. I doubt it though.

Although... thinking just a little bit about it, that's probably not ENTIRELY necessary, it just feels like using an analog stick to move would HAVE to allow you to move in full 360 degrees. Hooray for the biggest PC weakness!

What is this weakness you are talking about? That we can use a mouse instead of an analog stick?

Sorry... Been up all night, made some "Logical" connections. The analog stick allows for a variable rate of movement. Obviously in a Diablo-style game it wouldn't matter since you are limited in your way of movement anyway.

1) PCs can use gamepads
2) Logitech are way ahead of you [http://mobbit.info/media/5/LogitechG18G13_2.jpg].

Analogue sticks do offer better movement, but considering that for some spells/abilities you need a mouse (Barbarian jumps, targeted spells), I don't really see D3 working on anything except the PC.

Unless MS/Sony finally start offering real mouse support.

I've never used a gamepad that I liked, though I do like the idea that you can pop a 360 controller into a Windows PC. Targeted spells can do just fine through a cycle of targets or by using the other analog stick, tactical RPGs have been doing it for ages, just now you have to be a little quicker on the uptake. I still don't see any problem with Diablo on a console.

Oh, as for the Logitech thing, what I'd RATHER see than an analog stick on the PC are pressure sensitive keys. Unless it has that already. Then I'd like to see some PC FPS's using them. Albeit I don't play many FPS's, but I might play more if the PC allowed for variable movement rates.
