Can we quit the whole horde evil thing?

From a DnD perspective, and from what I know of the lore, Alliance are Lawful Neutral, and Horde are Chaotic Neutral, its an order/chaos split, not a good evil one.

The idea that Humans are in some way more 'good' than the Tauren astounds me.

As for worgen, are they going to 'change' at nightfall, as the ones outside SFK do? That's be kinda cool, looking almost human during the day, then changing as the sun sets. I guess a little too much to ask.

As for the guy asking about worgen mounts or will they just drop to all fours, I seem to remember the tauren were going to learn plainsrunning at 40 instead of a mount, allowing them to run at mount speed, so Worgen may get something similar.

Of course I'll be buying it on release day, but... I'm hoping there's something in the way of new classes, professions, etc, and 85 sounds a little mean.

I have no idea why I think this, but I always kinda had the feeling we'd have two more expansion, this one to take us to 90, and the final one to take us to 100.

Somehow I'd feel a little robbed if they're planning a 90,95, and a 100 one after this, even if they pack a huge amount in. I guess its just the human nature to want order and round numbers.

Thats Blood Elf Magisters literally 'Stealing light'. Siphoning it from the Naaru (thank you Amnesitic). Thats how they became paladins.
Which my point was that in the days, God himself basically gave you divine power which what made you a paladin, you could not steal it, you could not buy it, you earned it by being the most holy person that you could be, and if your ways ever changed, then God took those powers right back away from you.[/quote]

There is no God in Warcraft. There's the Pantheon, which is the collection of Titans who helped shaped the worlds. They're pretty much on the level of deities when power is addressed. There's Elune who is...well, she's one of the few actual deities in Warcraft. Then there are the Old Gods which are symbiotic Parasites which join with the planet. These things are super strong. There are five of them on Azeroth and they took on the entire Pantheon and though they 'lost' in that they were sealed away, they were fighting numbers far beyond their meagre five.

As for the Holy Light which Priests, Paladins and the Naaru channel, you're best off thinking of it as a Good version of The Force rather than an actual conscious deity. It's just not like that. The following of the Light is a philosophy, not a theistic religion.

That is a REAL paladin.
No, that's a fantasy world that isn't Warcraft, Paladin. Honestly, everyone always rags on Blizzard for taking their ideas from other sources (Tolkien, Warhammer, DnD etc.) but when they go and make a change to the established concept of a Paladin, people are all up in their grill.

They are my opinions, and that should not be a problem.
If your opinion is that Blizzard should retcon literally dozens of pages of Lore and what it affects, then I'd say there is a bit of a problem.

Apparently you'll be able to change from Worgen to Human at the touch of a button at anytime, though you'll automatically change into a Worgen when you enter combat. You don't change when the sun sets I don't think.

This may be a badass idea, but it does make humans seem kind of...useless. Why choose to be a human now when you can be a human who can change into a mother fucking werewolf any time he wants?

I suppose we'll just have to see.

Sounds pretty kewl. I'm almost tempted to go back to WoW with all of these new changes taking place...

...but then I remember how costly the subscription is and the fact that my computer's crappy when it comes to running PC games, so I sigh and wistfully glance at a few more WoW articles before going back to my beloved 360. :p

Diablo 3 class. Best news ever. The monk is a mix of assassin and amazon. It will be fun to play as no doubt.

WoW's expansion I can see exciting all my friends who still play it. Looks like fun.

I'll be safe from this WoW expansion. My laptop is almost full and can't play many games anyway. I won't have any computers to play it (Nor time or money).

I'm safe...At least, for myself. My friends who play WoW won't leave me alone until I buy the damn expansion.

This game will herald a new age of discovering how many recognizable variations of the name "Jacob" are possible. (worgen lol)

This is certainly NOT what will be pulling me back into that ugly excuse for a time-sink.

In other news, StarCraft 2 and Diablo 3 are being delayed for another 1-5 years.

I'm really surprised people still play, I quit when the first expansion came out and ruined the game the first time.
I believe that is called your opinion and your entitled to it, but please don't try and tell me and the others who play WoW still what we are meant to like and enjoy. I'm old/ugly enough to decide that on my own.
I fail to see how my comment suggests that I am trying to tell you not to enjoy the game, despite how boring, pointless, and vanilla it has become. Personally, I find it has more in common with a Facebook App.

Tell me, what class are you? Wait, nevermind, every class is exactly the same, your answer is not required. I'll throw a wild guess at gnome warlock however.

Nah. Current WoW is so much better than Classic *ever* was. Nostalgia is a powerful thing.
I disagree.

When Blizzard basically gave the middle finger to all guilds who managed to organize and build themselves up by making all their raid equipment replaced by green drops, I gave it right back to them.

For reference, I was in a Horde Naxx guild and had acquired 4/9 of my Tier 3. I EARNED my gear. Not to say you haven't earned yours in your raids, but the expansion spat in my face and told me loud and clear "We aren't interested in players who play often, only those with open accounts".

Here is hoping SW:OR lives up to its hype.

Wait, you mean warriors are a ranged DPS pet class wearing spell power cloth?

Intriguing.

I do have a gnome lock, but as an alch alt for supplyin my main my prot pally. Then again I have most alt combos on the alliance side, so you would of had a good chance of calling me out. Funny thing btw none of my characters play the same (well bar the second pally, he's pre duel spec and does my fishing/cooking) and even the specs within the class are different. Of course maybe they look the same to you, but I can't see any actual players here saying playing one class means you will rock at all the others, hell not even at other parts of your own class, I can't play holy for toffee.

You find it to be boring and have no depth, I find it to be interesting and one of the best mmo's out there, (I don't personally see the appeal in grind, others do I don't). Yes noone of the same class/spec is very different but Blizzard themselves agree this needs to change and the Path system is being added to do it. The classes wont be vastly different but at least noone will have 100% the same path, unless blizz screw it up.

And not sure how m

BS naxx gear held up till the start of RAIDS in TBC, Unless you went to one of the newly made useable specs, in which case thats bad luck due to blizz not supporting that spec to begin with.

Yes the greens were good, but that was due to them getting useable stats for leveling and the stamina going way up.

Not this xpac, think they want to get DK's settled in a lot more before they think about mixing it up again.

My Tier 2 lasted until mid-60s when I started replacing it with dungeon blues. I know guilds that started Kara still in their Naxx gear, so... not sure what you're on about.

The fact of the matter is that their previous plan of action - spending a vast majority of their resources on content only the tiniest fraction of players would ever see - was, frankly, idiotic. Can you imagine if, instead of WoW, they'd done WC4, where there weren't any cheat codes and you had to be a pro-level RTS player to see the last levels and finish the story? Sounds kind of dumb, no? Well, that's what happened with later raids.

TBC refined some of the clunkier game mechanics, made PvP less about who raided and had Ashkandi to go beat some helpless faces in, had much better quests and some awesome dungeons, and made specs for hybrids other than "lol heal/cleanse" actually viable. If this were still Classic, my Druid would be specced 31 Resto just so I would have Innervate to give to the real healers, the Priests. That's nuts.

TBC and WotLK gave players options that they never had before.

Hey. You wouldn't be there just for Innervate. You had battle res too!

Don't forget that some Paladins had to spec 31 points into Retri to get Blessing of Kings and still were Heal/Buff/Cleansebots.

Yay for individual blessings on a 40 man raid with a five minute duration. Because having to constantly be rebuffing is my idea of a good way to spend an evening.
