Book Reccomendation

I'm looking to buy a book. I need a recommendation. I read young adult fiction, specifically fantasy. Some of my favorite authors are Garth Nix, Trudi Canavan, Raymond E. Feist, Stephen Donaldson (Kind of heavy for me though), Rick Riordan and Darren Shan (Although I have slightly outgrown them), Eoin Colfer, and that's about it. The His Dark Materials trilogy was quite good and John Twelve Hawks is also... OK. I have read just about everything these authors have to offer, however, and I need a new book/series.

You should have a good idea of the kind of book I like from the above list. So, what would you recommend to me? Most of my book reading is the result of gifts given to me by a family member which start me off on an author/series which I then devour. I feel like I'm probably missing some really obvious/essential books which no fantasy geek should be without.

So, that's it. Oh, and make it fast. I want to get this book in, like, the next 30 minutes.

do you like evil genius type books? because if so then i recommend artemis fow.....oh wait, you probably already reaad that....hmmm.....try the enders game series. best i've read so far.

Also if you like young adult fiction then you should also try The Dark Tower series by Stephen King although it's gets a bit confusing about halfway though if you're not familiar with earlier King books.

Legend by David Gemmell, it was the first adult heroic fantasy to get me off children's fantasy. He's since become my favourite author and I've read almost every one of his glorious works (sadly, he died recently).

If you're looking for Epic, there's always Elric, Conan, Jack Vance; you could go by the way of William Gibson, or Michael Marshall Smith or even to the many, many Dr Who novels.

The Dune series is very intelligent and interesting.

I agree with this guy. So many interesting concepts, such a good plot, such intelligent and deep characters. I loved the philosophical questions posed by the original Dune novel.

Apparently, buying Unseen Academicals as an eBook is akin to pulling teeth. Some places have it free, but only for those of you in America, while other places have it priced as considerably more expensive than the FUCKING HARDBACK!
