So, I've never really been much of a reader, but I wanna get into it. Any recommendations on good books to read?

Can't go wrong with Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, Allan Moore and Bill Bryson though some taste specifications would help to give you better picks.
Depends entirely on your prefered genres, but you can't go wrong with Tokiens stuff (The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, The Silmarillion, in that order) or Stephen Kings Dark Tower.
I would suggest more, but those should keep you going for a couple of months easily.

I don't know. I suggest trying some books of which you have seen the movies, like Lord of the Rings. Eventually, you'll build up your own taste in books, and you'll come across more and more from the genre you like.

The Legend of Drizzt series by: R.A. Salvatore is a good fantasy series that will last you a long time.

Bernard Cornwell is a great author, and the battle scenes are amazing.
The hungry cities chronicles might be good, they're well written and they really draw you in, which is great if you're not much of a reader, otherwise you might get bored.
1984, although Animal Farm might make a better "first" as it is super short and told in the style of a fairy tale.

I'd probably recommend 'The chronicles of Ancient Darkness' series by Michelle Paver or 'The power of Five' Series by Antony Horowitz but also try popular series like Lord of the Ring and Harry Potter as they're popular for a reason.

It's so damn depressing (in a good way) and you WON'T be able to put it down. I read it in two days cause I loved it so much. And my other friend who doesn't even read at all, read 1/3 of the book in a day.
It's about an american WW1 soldier who gets hits by an artillery shell, and still survives....well sorta.
