Branston isn't a brine pickle. It's sweet vinegar, fruit, and spices. Mmmmmm.Mnemophage said:My tongue does not like anything that has had even the remotest contact with brine.
Jalapeno and lime marmalade sounds lovely. Where can I get it, and what do I do with it?speedcoreXdandy said:Branston Pickle is quite good but I'd always prefer a nice beetroot chutney or, as I'm a pretentious bastard, some Jalapeno and lime marmalade.
I'm really craving a pickle and cheese sandwich now, but we have no bread! Damn you vulgarshudder!!!!!!!vulgarshudder said:Branston Pickle and a strong chedder sandwich is a match made in heaven.
Well, I got the name a bit wrong, it's acctualy Jalapeño, Lime & Coriander Chilli Jelly, same basic principal. You can get it HERE http://www.chillisgalore.co.uk/ And I personaly put it on just about anything, it's especialy good on roast meat but it'll go with pretty much anything, I'm having some with the turkey at christmas this year.kailsar said:Jalapeno and lime marmalade sounds lovely. You say this now, but until you've eaten both a roasted brined turkey and a grilled brined pork tenderloin I do not accept your dislike of brine as a general rule.Mnemophage said:My tongue does not like anything that has had even the remotest contact with brine.
