This is an outrage! This is obviously a snide, purposeful attack on women everywhere, to deny us the ability to create a female character! Insulting!!!
Or it's just more disappointingly gender-biased par-for-the-course bullshit from the American Game Industry!

Off-handedly dismissing people with snark is fun!!! :D
Splash Damage isn't American.

is this true? or is this the same as borderlands weapons which were just randomized in color and stats every time you picked them up?

I think that if they really wanted to have a female option, they could've made the light body type female only. That would take care of hitbox/animation concerns (presumably the light body type animations are different from the medium and heavy already).

JESUS!! i keep hearing people bitching and moaning about no female characters and how easy it would have been just to add them in.. MAN!!! developing a game isnt easy OR cheap. I'm sure betheseda wanted to add female models but im also pretty sure they didnt want to have to pay like a extra 20 thousand for new voice actors, and more dev time on it ! believe me making games/movies/TV shows arnt cheap and take shit tons of work to pull off

This just proves there was no reason to not include women. SOme people said doing so would hinder the quality of male characters. Bull. Shit. So we lose a million or two male options, but you end up doubling the numbers, even if you just make all options unisex.

All of those customizable options, but they couldn't get more than 8 voice actors? >_>"

Unless "packs" means an unspecified number of voices in different catagories like smart ass, insane, smart ect.
For a Bethesda game, 8 voice actors is impressive *twirls mustache

I'm definitely looking forward to this game. Damn the fact I have AP tests now, though.
Same here. After writing 3 essays in a row for the APUSH test my brain is melty.

And still, im quite sure that you can only spot the difference between them at about the count of 100.. This meaning that the difference between most characters beeing so small you will have to take a really good look to see it.

But even that is an amazing number..
Read the part where it says there's about 4,530,240 unique of each side WITHOUT COUNTING TINT AND BODY TYPE. Yea. After that, you won't see a difference between most of them. But it's still 4,530,240 ones you would see a difference. On each side. Epic customization is epic. ^^

Hahaha all that and not a single female option.

Anyway I still think the actual character designs are horrible looking anyway.

Captcha: 115, eTwour.
So Lord Inglip has teamed up with Samantha Maxis eh?

It's not a Bethesda game, they are the publishers but the game is written and designed by Splash Damage on all 3 platforms (each one coded seperate..NO ports) these are the guys that did ET Wolfenstein and ET Quake Wars, one of the level designers is the guy that created Dust map for CS etc etc very talented guys all round

oh anfd I think its 8 voices per regional accent so you can have french, russian, scottish, irish etc etc not 100% on that but i think thats the case

No that epic...

If you started with 4 basic head shapes, 2 4-section sliders to adjust cheeks and jaws, 5 styles of eye, 3 eyebrow options, 3 nose options, 13 haircut options, 11 facial hair options and 11... fuck... tattoo options, for example, you have your 4,530,240 unique characters and it would be a very limited customisation set.

Personally I take it as a bad sign when a fairly standard character creation system is news.
