Most people in the Fable games, and Soap from the Modern Warfare games.
Why don't you go back and re-read the conditions
Ok I take away the Fable people then.
soap is playable throughout Cod4, but is an NPC in CoD6 except for after

spoiler anagram: hrdo scaie, then he is playable

Desmond Lockheart from point lookout dlc fallout 3.I am not sure if this counts as a few rules get bent slighty.

1.He is not techinally dead as he is a ghoul but he can be killed by the lone wander depending on the players choices
2.He is an asshole but i dont think he is "evil"
3.He is a main NPC in the point lookout dlc
4.He is rather clever
5.He spent most of the time in the Calvert Mansion with his dogs
'Dad' sounds British, but might be a very good impression or just from an area that sounds like us, occasionally he sounds a bit american but he is quite neutral... and i dont think he dies(heard about some sacrifice at the end or something but not sure)

Dads voice actor is the well known actor liam nesson who is from northern ireland so you kinda can get away with it. But..

Sadly James "dad" floods the chamber with radiation killing himself in the process to stop the enclave getting their hands on purfier

The Prince of Persia in two thrones. Farah suddenly has an american accent in Two Thrones so if the prince doesn't qualify as an idiot then he meets all of the conditions.

EDIT: He's playable so nvm

Kent Paul from GTA?
he's not evil, he's just mixed up with criminals. And I like him, so I won't call him an idiot. and he's never playable and he doesn't die. so win!

OK EVERYONE, CHANGED THE RULES A BIT. THAT SHOULD ELIMINATE SOME CONFUSION :)
Also when I said the English, Irish etc. I meant the Irish part just for this thread i.e. if they're Irish they can enter the competition. I did not mean it for Irish people in general

This guy is playable.

The OP said no one from games like Fable.

OP: It's actually quite a difficult one. I'd love to say Jorge from Halo: Reach (but he dies, and, anyway, I'm not sure if the character is actually British). But obviously I can't. So instead I'm gonna have to go with Sean (or is it Shawn?) from Assassin's Creed.

...And he's also Persian. Last time I checked, that means he isn't British.

The british skeleton thing in Darksiders. He didnt really serve any purpose and hes intentions are never shown, so we don't know if hes evil or not.

No, he's English, and he clearly portrays an Englishman too.

Meccs from "Giants: Citizen Kabuto"? Though it's a largely British cast so I'm not certain if it counts... Any complaints? Or have I completed the challenge?

Desmond Lockheart from Fallout 3 Point Lookout.

"What's the difference between you and me, kid? What makes a gifted killer like yourself into a rock-hard bastard like me? The answer is TRAINING you ignorant FUCK! I've got a hundred years of experience on you, and don't you forget it!"

What a legend.
