Desmond Lockheart from point lookout dlc fallout 3.I am not sure if this counts as a few rules get bent slighty.

1.He is not techinally dead as he is a ghoul but he can be killed by the lone wander depending on the players choices
2.He is an asshole but i dont think he is "evil"
3.He is a main NPC in the point lookout dlc
4.He is rather clever
5.He spent most of the time in the Calvert Mansion with his dogs

'Dad' sounds British, but might be a very good impression or just from an area that sounds like us, occasionally he sounds a bit american but he is quite neutral... and i dont think he dies(heard about some sacrifice at the end or something but not sure)

Dads voice actor is the well known actor liam nesson who is from northern ireland so you kinda can get away with it. But..

OP: It's actually quite a difficult one. I'd love to say Jorge from Halo: Reach (but he dies, and, anyway, I'm not sure if the character is actually British). But obviously I can't. So instead I'm gonna have to go with Sean (or is it Shawn?) from Assassin's Creed.

Well, the Meccs were, but the rest of the cast were aliens, despite having Scottish or French accents, and whatever Delphi had. So, I'd say it was about half British and half not.

Just going by the games that I have nearby, the only guy that I've found that could fit would be Captain Anderson from Mass Effect. But since he doesn't sound British, I'm not sure if he counts...

Captain Anderson is not even slightly British, I don't know how you came to that conclusion.

But I would agree with others that Captain mc Millien and the snarky British guy from Ass Creed were good examples/
