Not in the single-player mode of said Timesplitters: Future Perfect he isn't.ScoopMeister said:This guy is playable.
I take it you haven't played TimeSplitters 2 then.Z of the Na said:Not in the single-player mode of said Timesplitters: Future Perfect he isn't.ScoopMeister said:This guy is playable.
I wasn't counting multiplayer, either. [small]Although it is damn good.[/small]
No, no I haven't.ScoopMeister said:I take it you haven't played TimeSplitters 2 then.
Technically she isn't Welsh, as within the game Wales doesn't exist. She is Dalish and just has a Welsh accent. Therefore I don't think she counts as British, just because she has a British accent.this isnt my name said:Merril in DA2, she is Welsh.
As for playing as her thats hard to say in a DA game.
Indeed it does. As an aside, you should get TimeSplitters 2 if you ever have the chance. It used to be my favourite game.Z of the Na said:No, no I haven't.ScoopMeister said:I take it you haven't played TimeSplitters 2 then.
[small]Honestly? He was the first British game character to come to my mind. I posted him as I thought he hadn't been mentioned yet. He hadn't. Therefore, I didn't really pay attention to the "rules" of this thread and broke one or two of them. My bad.
Oh well. Life goes on.[/small]
I've heard very good things about it from a close friend of mine. Cortez is one of the funniest protagonists I've seen in a good long while, and he informed me that the commando is also in Timesplitters 2. Is that true?ScoopMeister said:Indeed it does. There is no Island on Earth known as Britain... You have the United Kingdom, consisting of Scotland, Wales, England and Northern Ireland. Then you have the British Isles which include Jersey and Guernsey. But Britain isn't the name of any island. - FACT.Sapient Pearwood said:You can't. Britain isn't the political system, that's the UK, Britain is just the name of the island.Catchy Slogan said:Yes you can. It would be similar to, say, Texas, deciding it didn't want to be a part of the USA any longer.
The game isn't really story driven in Time Splitters 2. Cortez is the protagonist, but you actually play a different character each level, in a different time period each time as well. There is a continuity (Future Perfect is a direct sequel), but I haven't played either for such a long time, I don't really remember how the story goes.Z of the Na said:I've heard very good things about it from a close friend of mine. I've played and beaten Future Perfect many times over, and it would be great to know what happened before the events of it, assuming a form of continuity is followed.
Yes it is. Look up a list of the biggest islands, Britain is something like the 7th. Did you not notice that England, Scotland and Wales are part of the same landmass? That landmass is called Britain. FACT.ELD3RGoD said:There is no Island on Earth known as Britain... You have the United Kingdom, consisting of Scotland, Wales, England and Northern Ireland. The beginning of the game has Baz (I think) planting a Union Flag in the ground, with the opening bars of "Rule Britannia" playing. Also, two of the Meccs are named "Gordon" and "Bennett".nulmas said:I haven't played the game in a long time, but I'm pretty sure the Meccs were supposed to be Australians.thaluikhain said:Well, the Meccs were, but the rest of the cast were aliens, despite having Scottish or French accents, and whatever Delphi had. So, I'd say it was about half British and half not.Jammy2003 said:Meccs from "Giants: Citizen Kabuto"? Though it's a largely British cast so I'm not certain if it counts... Any complaints? Or have I completed the challenge?
Count the Americans in British games.PunchedBarbecue said:5) They can't be in a game comprised almost entirely of British characters (e.g. Fable)
you forgot Cornish....even if it is just a language.MuzzleFlash said:Scottish, English and Welsh are British, as they make up Great Britain, Irish is not as it's a different island. The exception being those of us from Northern Ireland, who under the Good Friday Agreement have the right to claim either or both nationalities.
Edit and On topic: does Psycho actually count because he was playable in Warhead.
