Richard Gale's lying through his teeth. It seems pretty clear who's the victim and who's the bully from watching the video that went viral.
His ugly yellow misshapen teeth.

OT: Yeah I don't buy it, it's the same thing every kid says to get out of trouble. The Old "He started it" excuse.

I actually don't know what to hope for through all this, either that little twerp will feel so hated and ridiculed by the whole world that he kills himself (it's a good one!)
Perhaps this will be blown up into HUGE proportions because more bullied kids will start taking the Street Fighter way out and steam-roll over their bullies until all bullies feel so ashamed that they lock them self in their rooms for the rest of their lifes (Come to think of it, this is what I hope for)

And to Mr. Gale:
Are you really that eff-ing stupid that you think that anyone in the whole world would buy that nonsense? Especially after testimonials of you having bullied "Little Zangief" for a long time, and when he finally gets enough and powerslams you for the "most epic moment caught on tape 2011"-award (after having taken a few punches from you), would anyone ever talk to you without laughing at you for a good 15 minutes first? As I suspect that you are quite a few IQ-points off of coming with the logical answer I will do so for you: You suck! You suck and you're a friggin moron! Enjoy your broken life as long as you can take it and remember, there are easy ways out. *HINTIDDITYHINTHINT*

And yes, I was bullied much as a kid and I was never brave or capable enough to stand up for myself so "Little Zangief" is my new hero.

Hmm, it's true we dont know who was the bully, and we'll really never know. This just shows that you cant judge a situation right off, u may not know the full story behind it.

The kid did deserve his Zangief whooping, but he doesn't deserve all the negative press and whatnot. Everyone move on with your lives already!

"He told me to get to class, so I punched him in the face." Perfect logic.
Exactly just like when my parents told me to go to bed early, so I set them on fire while they were sleeping. It's perfectly sound logic! *twitch twitch*

OT: Frankly I'm not surprised. Either one of three things was going to happen.
1. He was going to learn his lesson, and change. 2 he was going to slink off like a whipped dog, or 3 he was going to play himself off as the victim, and with his parents apparently coddling him while saying poor baby this is more predictable than a hard on at a porno theater

He is a victim. Of a total beat down. ZING! Sorry. I'm pretty sure that's been used a thousand times by now.

Seeing as no one came to Haynes' defense, the fact that the kid was standing and acting like a bully--throwing a punch here and taunting there--and the fact that when he DID get owned his friends laughed and didn't rush to his side to see if he was okay, I'm betting he's lying. If he wanted to "smash him" like he was saying, Gale wouldn't have been jumping around just hitting him a few times. He would have been jumping on him and hitting him with everything he had. Human evidence in the video is not in his favor.

What a liar, I want to beat this kid as well, way to go Casey. I mean, he made a video about him beating up on this kid that went wrong, he has his friends with him ready to fight this Casey kid as well, what a pathetic loser. I don't care if he's a kid, he knew exactly what he was doing.

I might believe it if Gale wasn't behaving like a cocky little bastard in the video. He was taunting Hynes and jumping around in a boxing stance. That doesn't really say "beleaguered innocent". At all.

Mouthing off doesn't warrant anything first of all if thats true. Second in that video wasn't he punching the kid in the face or something? Third his ass got fucking rocked and I couldn't be happier.

Side note: Dear lord his teeth. He looks like a beaver.

I'm starting to think that the fact that this is even a story - that anyone even cares enough to pass judgements on either of these kids - is a testament to how messed up the Information Age culture is.

Before internet: two kids get in a fight at school. Someone is sent to the nurse and they both get a stern talking to. Everyone is reminded that kids act like little shits to one another and life goes on.

After internet: suddenly one of these kids is a paragon of virtue and the other is a monster. They both become nationally recognized celebrities. Everyone in the country goes online to discuss which of them was 'right,' based on a thirty second video clip. Talk shows, webcomics, facebook spam, et cetera.

Why do we need this? Obviously this kid is an ass. Every kid is an ass at that age. Bringing that information to the world stage changes nothing and accomplishes nothing. I don't see much evidence to paint Casey as a saint, either; all that's been presented was that he was not the aggressor, and that he's willing and capable of performing impromptu suplexes. These are just ordinary gray-area children we're talking about.

It's easy and cathartic to take a dump on a stranger's life through the internet.

I don't buy it. Bodylanguage on that vid clearly states who the victim and who the bully is.

And his mom just happens to call him precisely during the interview to bring tears to his eyes? Come on, please... what kind of bullcrap show is that anyway?
Your standard bottom-of-the-barrel evening "current affairs" garbage, I'd wager.
Very much so... Just put "Today Tonight" into google video search to see what I mean.
Yeeah I dont think anyone needs another story on supermarkets dyeing meat to make it look fresher (4 stories this year so far)

as for the issue last night they interviewed the little turd filming it and APART from teh fact he looks like a thug too, he was trying to stick up for gale but was smirking. these little shits need more pile drives from kids like casey.

It's fantastic to see how people love to see real violence. That's the sole reason why this is so viral, in my opinion, not just because someone stood up to a bully.
Newsflash : fights happen probably every few minutes , even in schools ( especially in schools, though it depends on where you live as well ), this one just got to be caught up on tape.
So what's done is done and I personally don't care about what those involved have to say. In this case I have to agree that this kid seems to be full of shit, even if the people from Today Tonight or whatever it's called obviously added a shitload of drama and sad music to this so it will appear like poor Richard has his story to tell as well and he's just a normal kid like everyone else. I'm sorry if I'm wrong, I hope I am, but he seems like he'll be in jail in less than 10 years.

Aww, that's so sa--

On second thought, I don't feel sorry anymore.

EDIT: I just noticed that the kid's first answer to the question "Are You Sorry?" was a big, fat "No." before his father gave him the evil eye.
