God I hope Relic doesn't fall into this hell hole. Well they're pretty safe because they make RTSs... -gulp-
Thankfully Relic is very buddy buddy with THQ and have been for a long time. The only thing that could break that up would be if THQ tanked.

It's only a publishing deal, which means Bungie maintains relative control over their own IPs and what not. However, as the old saying goes, he who has the gold makes the rules.

I take it no one's going to bash on me (eww) when I say that Bungie are fucking morons.

Well, if anyone though Halo was getting milked badly, just wait until you see what they're going to do with whatever they need Activision to publish for.

It'll be like Spaceballs meets Frank West, that's for sure.

My reaction can be summed up with this video.

Edit: Ah, figure it out.
That is probably the number of times Bungie tells Activision that they won't sell.

Meh, I'll be across the street in Blizzardland with marines who know how to wear Real Armor.

Hopefully Activision persuade Bungie to make "Halo Hero" where you control the action using a life size Master Chief peripheral.
The idea of analogue stick nipples seems like a winner to me.
That explains Batman's armor in Batman and Robin! Eureka!

But who has the true gold here?

I knew this was going to induce a lot of negative feedback.

So now Activision is going to fuck someone else over.

Whats done is done so I better hope the next franchise's first game is as good as the first halo or call of duty 4.

Activision obviously. That was kind of the point I was making. If Bungie wants to get paid, they will do tricks for Activision like the obedient lap dogs they are.

But if Activision wants their product they have to play nice. What can they really do to them?

I was thinking more along of a 2 metre tall SPARTAN armour you manipulate in order to play the game... but hey if you want to huskily fondle it, dude thats your prerogative!

I kinda do...but I don't want to be judged for it. I'm not sure it's practical. I remember hoping noone would walk in when I was playing God of War 3 and the sex scene came up. Getting caught fiddling with Master Chief's nipples would take longer to live down...

Aw come on ya'll. It can't be all that bad. Remember Monty Python? "Always look on the bright side of life..."

This could mean that Blizzard and Bungie are teaming up to make something awesome.
Monty Python never met Kotick.

Bungie's sole claim to fame was (not intended as an insult to anyone who plays them) dumbing down first person shooters so they could function on console platforms.
That's not true at all.
While I agree with you on the dumbed down part, Bungie were also famous for making the Myth and Oni games.
Yup, and how many (say, to the nearest -10) of Bungie's current core-fanbase would actually play games like Myst?
