Color me very interested. I haven't exactly played any of the Halo games, but this does intrigue me quite a bit. I usually prefer to play solo, but if they can make it work in a good non irritating way, I wouldn't mind.

I just need to see how the game looks and runs before I even think about getting it. I know its an FPS, but that's it (art is amazing I gotta say). Sounds like they are really committed to this though.

So basically they're making three sandbox universes connected through portals.

Still, sounds like loads of fun. Really glad they're doing it for PS3 too!

Bungie launched a legacy title and stamped their name on the genre... Another such feat would surely place them amongst the gaming titans.

If they can deliver on these promises.

And if they make the PCs true 'empty vessels' rather than the failed attempt at compromise that was Master Chief.

Then I can say I am intrigued. Still gonna wait until it's actually out before I make my decision, though.
Failed attempt "To You" Lots of people liked it
I did mean to me; guess I didn't make it clear. :\ My bad.

Did anyone else see that massive orb, and immediately think about how that would negatively affect the Earth's gravity and orbit?

If those were in game shots it's going to be purdy.
My first though was "Really, building a city underneath THAT thing? Isn't it going to be very shadowy, and what if it ever drops to the ground?" Sure you're probably fucked on all grounds once that thing eventually hits the surface, but I'd still not feel safe building a city underneath it.
I thought that as well. I'm guessing that, since the power that the Guardians of the city draw on comes from that thing, the first people to do so did so where they had direct access to it, so that's where civilization survived. Still, it seems like it would be terrifying to live under.

OT: I think it looks great, both in concept and design. I'm a sucker for a good Sci-Fi setting, and from what little I played of the Halo series it was extremely well made and fun. Definitely something to keep an eye on.

Cautiously optimistic, Bungie has done well in the past and if done right this could be very good.

To me the co-op connection thing sounds a lot like an improved, constant, version of red dead redemptions free roam multiplayer.

Actually after looking at other sources seems he specifically called out people not wanting to play FPS games on the PC

?We did a bunch of ambitious things on Halo deliberately to reach out to people. We limited players to two weapons, we gave them recharging health, we automatically saved and restored the game ? almost heretical things to first-person shooters at the time. We made the game run without a mouse and keyboard. And now nobody plays shooters the way they used to play them before Halo ?cause nobody wants to.?
There are two possibilities. Jason Jones has never heard of Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike, or any other number of hugely played online FPS games for the PC. Or this is a misunderstanding. I?m sure what he meant to say was, ?We couldn?t be bothered to make a PC version,? but for some reason it came out as, ?Blurble flurble flipple-flopple ploooooooo.?

They can say it's not an MMO all they want, but it sure as hell still sounds like one.

This sounds like a really REALLY cool game and one I would be all over if it were single player, but the online stuff kinda kills it for me. My connection kind of sucks and I don't really play games to connect with others because that's what I do all day. Hopefully there will be an offline option, but I'm not holding my breath.
Eurogamer are reporting that an Internet connection is required at all times, even when playing single player. Which means I won't be getting the game. Got Diablo 3 writ all over it.

Well the other ones were leaks while the top is from Bungie themselves. They have also described it as a Console shooter. So... Very unlikely they said that there will be a PC version.

"No PC version?

Nope. Bungie consistently referred to Destiny as a ?console shooter.?"

Well, at least I know where Kekai Kotaki ended up after he stopped doing art for ArenaNet. As to the game, it sounded a bit interesting until I got to the part where it said it was going to be for the 360 and PS3 and my interest dropped.

Thought it was an MMORPG and immediately thought monthly fee. Thank god there is no monthly fee.
