Would be awesome, if they'd do it for the PS3 as well...
Say what? Please explain.
I might have gotten this completely wrong, but it would be cool if this deal would also go for the PS3 and not just PC. I know it's practically impossible, since you'd have to download a game that big from PSN... but hey, here's to dreaming
My mistake, I thought you meant the deal wouldn't apply to PS3 copies of DA2.

I do NOT want a bulky background process installed just to make sure I'm legit... That's why I waited for Steam's holiday sale and bought it off of that.
I think one of us is really missing something here.
Do you think that maybe I use steam for its community features? Or perhaps because it has an offline feature? OR perhaps I would rather only have one game manager on my PC? You're not as clever as you think.

Haters gonna hate.
Yes, but not always unreasonably so.
People's reasons may vary and it's certainly their right. But I don't feel slighted. In fact, I don't get pissed over video games. If there's one I don't like, I just stop playing and move to something I do like.

It's not a personal attack by the developers.

Why are you doing this, Bioware? Why are you being so good to us after all of the scorn we so unfairly heaped upon thy shoulders? After we let you lose to a developer whose only game is still a beta... *sniff* You're too good for us, Bioware.

I'm tempted to jump on this just so I can play Dragon Age 2 on my 360 while simultaneously playing Mass Effect 2 on my pc, and when I've beaten them both, switching! *maniacal laughter*

I'm actually quite happy. Now I can get non-Polish version of the game without forking out more money on it.

And that also means I can get all the cool DLC I could have not gotten because Polish people are apparently dirty and carry plague according to Bioware because they succesfully neglect our country in possibility of playing the DLC.

THANKS BIOWARE!

That article sent me into a crazy rage of jealously and hatred thinking it said mass effect 3 free, at first I considered buying Dragon age 2 as that would be an amazing deal, but then it said mass effect for PC and my heart sank. I'm on a laptop, I have troubles playing anything less than 3 years old, let alone a new game.

Then i reread and saw it said mass effect 2, crisis over. but I still can't play that game on this thing :'(

This has all reminded me that while I would love to play games on the PC, i don't have the money or the technical abilities to purchase, assemble and continually upgrade a 'rig'.

Wow they must be really desperate to sell copies of Dragon Age 2 desperate times come for desperate measures.. Its only the THIRD WEEK and they doing marketing stunts like this.
Or maybe they're trying to rekindle interest for Mass Effect 2 as prep for Mass Effect 3? Dragon Age 2 is selling quite well all on its own, they really don't need to bribe folks to pick it up.
I hate to burst your bubble dude, (EDIT oops.. dudette, sry Susan) but 600,000 off the shelf sales for a triple A title in 3 weeks, with the amount of exposure it's had, is ABOMINABLE..

OH, and have you seen the latest sale figures for it?

Not only is bribery needed at this point, but it's pretty much a neccessity.
And you really, honestly think that BioWare expects a free copy of a game that's been out for ages is going to cause a huge upswell in sales? Really?

It's kinda Pathetic that people that already bought Dragon Age 2 don't get it >.> Eat a dick BioWare and EA, and choke on it ^^
Yeah they do, I purchased Dragon Age 2 on day one and still got an e-mail for this offer. But great job jumping to conclusions anyway...

I thought that too the first time I read it but, for example, people who pre-ordered DA2 also got the game ( I got my code yesterday ). All I had to do was use my Entitlement Key ( From Steam ) here http://social.bioware.com/me2offer/.

Good Grief.

They actually LISTENED to all the people screaming about this.... LMAO.. they must REALLY, REALLY be desperate.

This just keeps getting funnier. I wonder what their next press release will say.

FREE TOFFEE!!!!!!!!
I don't find the humor in free games, but that's just me.

I'm excited for anyone who qualifies for this deal. I have ME2 and don't want DA2, but it's still pretty awesome.

What are you talking about? I'm currently downloading it using the Black emporium card that came in my Signature edition that I got first day.

It isn't a new card put into the next shipment (there'd be no telling if you were getting the right on), it's already in there.
