It says I haven't downloaded it yet, and I need to enter an Online Pass Code? Is that one of the three codes the game tells me I got? I have an entitlement key, a pre-order key and I guess just one for the game itself?WaaghPowa said:Fairly sure that every copy will have it as part of project 10 dollar, they don't want people buying used copies to get the free ME2 copy.blue heartless said:So, I don't get the free game because I don't have whatever this "The Black Emporium" is?
EDIT: How do I even know if I have it? I just bought it to spoil myself for my birthday but I haven't even started the game.

I guess I roleplay a little different... I liked to enter those places with the galaxy's most skilled assassin and the sexiest thief alive And they wouldn't ever know we were even there!Andy Chalk said:Zaeed has character. He has personality. He has style.Belladonnah said:While Zaeed to me just feels like a worse Garrus or a less useful Legion... I don't see why you would ever want Zaeed on your party over either of them.
See, you can beat Mass Effect 2 without any of your team members at your side. When you get right down to it, none of them are really, absolutely necessary to get the job done. So sometimes I found it amusing to walk into places, sometimes nice places, with Zaeed and Grunt. Nothing says "hello" like the galaxy's most dangerous mercenary and a genetically-perfect Krogan.
Garrus is my Number One Guy, but when I want to send out a message that I'm not screwing around, I bring Zaeed.
For the PC package (and I assume all) there are three codes involved. Pre-Order, which came on your receipt or something similar. The game itself, which is on the back of the instruction booklet. And the Online Pass/Black Emporium DLC which is on a single paper. It looks like one of those silly advertisements for other games that come in the game packaging. Thats the one you need.blue heartless said:It says I haven't downloaded it yet, and I need to enter an Online Pass Code? Is that one of the three codes the game tells me I got? Because most gamers are scared of change. If someone change too much and it looks like it could be a different game that makes them frightened and angry. Making the same game with updated graphics and a story that seems similar, yet dissimilar enough to feel like a new game that's perfect.malestrithe said:Would be a nice deal, if I were a Bioware fan. I do not get why people hate Square-Enix for trying new things with their Final Fantasy series, but praise Bioware for making the same game since 1998.
As someone who owns Baldur's Gate/XP, Baldur's Gate II/XP, NWN/XP, KOTOR, Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and Dragon Age, this just pisses me off.AzraelSteel said:As someone who owns Dragon Age 2, Mass Effect, but not ME2, this was a nice surprise to see.
It isn't that they're "giving away a free game." They're rewarding people who may have only bought this one game, while continuing to screw those of us who've been loyal to them for 15 years.Andy Chalk said:No, BioWare is giving away a free game to people who bought another game. To repeat, they are giving away a free game.Souplex said:So Bioware is celebrating people buying an inferior sequel by giving them the PC version of another inferior sequel through digital distribution? Sooo many things are wrong with this.
What a miserable bunch of bastards, eh?
Yes, it runs until the end of the month. So long as your friend both activates the online content for DA2 AND puts the code in on the social site, he'll get the download code for ME2.HyenaThePirate said:What if you bought DA2 and never opened it yet? I have a friend who owns it but hasn't played it yet (he's been overseas in the military, but comes back this month). Even though he got it when it released, if he activates the online will he get the code?
They aren't giving anything away, since they know that everyone who'd buy DA2 just to get ME2 already owns ME2, and the people who didn't want to buy ME2 but bought DA2 wouldn't pay for a copy of ME2.VulakAerr said:Yes, it runs until the end of the month. To the whiners: What is wrong with you people? They are giving away a free game. I never before realised that gamers was such a self-entitled bunch of jerks. Nobody owes you this. Dragon Age 2 was a great game, maybe not a classic like most of Bioware's stuff, but a great game. Most companies won't give you ANYTHING, even if you buy a game that's a stinking heap of shit. This is A FUCKING FREE GAME! If you're finding ANY WAY AT ALL to ***** about this offer, there is something deeply wrong with your head.

How are they paying for a copy of ME2 now? I just downloaded the EADM, put in the code, then ME2 started coming down. IT WAS FUCKING FREE!
You know when you buy something and you get to the part where you either give somebody some money, or make a frantic dash past the security guard who could permanently subdue you by sitting on your face? That doesn't happen here. You don't pay ANY MONEY. THAT'S BECAUSE IT'S FREE!
What is wrong with you people?! Remove your head from your arses and ask yourselves: Does this hurt me? Is my life significantly worse after I've been offered a free game than it was beforehand? If not: QUIT BITCHING!
So exactly $0 went from You to Them? You just purchased a copy of DA2 expressly to get a copy of ME2? You know that ME2 and DA2 are both worth substantially less on the market now as used console releases, yes? And that you can purchase both at once for less than a new copy of DA2?VulakAerr said:How are they paying for a copy of ME2 now? Ignoring the blindingly large oversimplification, this statement is honestly funny.malestrithe said:Would be a nice deal, if I were a Bioware fan. I do not get why people hate Square-Enix for trying new things with their Final Fantasy series, but praise Bioware for making the same game since 1998.
