I started to like Treyarch when they introduced all that blood and gore in WaW. It's clear that IW was only interested in sales so they made a game for kids with almost no blood. I still like MW characters and I want to see what happens with Soap and Price, but they should make MW3 more serious, more blood and gore and longer campaign.

Go Treyarch! People wanted Vietnam, Treyarch apparently listened to the fans. Lets hope they can deliver something special.
I love the fact they listen to the fans and try to put in as much as possible for the money. WaW was such a great game in terms of playability, replay value, and you could tell that there was an incredible amount of effort put into the game to make it the best it could be. It really showed IW for who they really are when MW2 came out and it was slap dash, tiny single player, shoddy attempt to make a rival for zombie mode (in their arrogance, IW refused to put in zombie mode, even though it was a HUGE success and the fans wanted it, just because it was a treyarch idea)

Kudos to treyarch, I hated COD3 but the sheer amount of effort and community relations won me around big time

Black Ops don't necessarly mean sneaky in the sense of Sam Fisher style stealth. more of the sneaky on the global scale. On't acknowledge your existance, under the radar making it look like local insurgents. If It's some team sent in with standard ewuipment, instead of what would really happen, I am going to hurt somebody. Should be small team dropped with enemy munitioons and equipment, mebbe with a little special something if the mission requires./ I want to have to worry about getting captured. /rage

I know a black ops guy from vietnam, so this is a bit of a touchy subject for me. Tired of the Hollywood bullshit

This looks pretty promising. Looking forward to the missions; from what I could tell it looked like Vietnam up to the 80's period based on seeing Huey helicopters. I placing money on the game revolving around CIA Special Activities Division or maybe SOG if they go with Vietnam. I wonder if they'll use any of the South American CIA operations as a basis, or maybe even some of the Middle East ones (it'll probably draw a lot of flak if they do but who cares). Anyway I really am hoping they do the story right, MW2 was utter shit for story.

I hope this isnt one of those SUPER SECRET SOLDIER GOES ON SUPER SECRET MISSIONS THAT NEVER HAPPENED BUT THERE ARE EXPLOSIONS games. Im not gonna go around saying COD is an accurate representation of war. But i play them so i feel like an above average soldier on the field of battle. Not a supersoldier that carries an entire army on his back and all my allies are actually useless.

Ive got a feeling that this game is gonna be less: soldier from a farm in Virgina gets enlisted and goes off to fight in Vietnam, makes and loses friends and comrades and takes part in several important and legendary battles. And more, the greatest soldier ever gets bread souly for killing countless people and gets granted super powers and goes of to take part in made up fights ( Ie. storming a random castle in the middle of Vietnam to capture the plans for mech-suits or something )

Edit: Just looking at the footage again. Do you guys think that those computers are 1980s quality, modern, or futuristic. Im pretty much technologically retarded so i cant tell. They look pretty modern to me. Also, my accent identifying skills suck to. What does the guy talking sound like ? American ? Russian ? What ?

The main character at this point appears to be a solider that has lost his memories, and may have them uncomfortably returned to him by a scientist with an ominous voice that approves of shock therapy.
A what now?

I'm sorry I had to.

"Call of Duty: Black Ops may focus on a soldier that is the subject of a mysterious experiment."

So... Are they going back to that FPS era where the protagonist has some type of superpower? like FarCry Instincts and Area 51?

Space! I think I saw a spaceman at the end!
Incorrect. That is the pilot [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:SR-71_full_pressure_flight_suit.JPG] of the SR-71 [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SR-71] seen at 0:45. It does fly very high and very fast but it can't go into space.

and weird doctors for its next take on Call of Duty
All I can think of whenever I read this is Call of Duty: Human Centipede Warfare.

God that film scares the shite out of me, yet I'm becoming obsessed with it.
Holy SHIT that looks like the greatest movie of all time!

I am attempting to keep optimistic for this, and I do so hope it turns out good.
Though, Special Forces were born in World War 2, not Vietnam, as I think this trailer suggests.

They already released this game in 2006. It was called Black back then, though.
If this game is half as good as Black and includes online MP and Co-op....It's pure win.
