Y'know, after sampling MW2 and BO during Steam's free MP weekends, I could honestly give a rat's ass. i don't expect MW3 to be anything stellar, and more than likely simply catering to the n00bz that'd rather go around accusing skilled players of hacking instead of attempting to improve their game. Nothing against newbies in general, just the bitchy ones that want everything simple and handed to them on a silver platter. CoD4 and WaW were the last two fun installments to play, IMHO, that still felt somewhat balanced enough that everyone can have a decent time.
But, that being said - have developers completely forgotten about the 3rd-party anti-cheating services available to the PC community (i.e. PunkBuster)? These (as much as some players may hate them) do their job of keeping things legit, and sure they can be a PITA even for us legit players if your connection is getting a little squirelly . . . but, still, considering I only play on secure servers (with current up-to-date patched games), I've never really encountered an issue where hacking is a major problem . . .
. . . besides, with dedicated servers, there's usually an admin close at hand, and as soon as a hacker does pop up, they're permabanned quickly. Much faster on independent servers than on sanctioned servers.
But, god forbid we get full dedicated server support, too . . .
