I'm a sucker for feel-good drama films - not necessarily romances though. For example: I adore Calender Girls. There's something about pretty scenery and happily gossiping middle-aged ladies that makes me go all fuzzy. Well what do you know? I really am a girl!

And on top of that, Digimon. The voice acting is beyond crap, but I adored it as a child and dammit I adore it now! I'll listen to the theme tune until I can sing it backwards.
I haven't seen the English dub, but honestly Digimon 1 & 2 were way better than anything Pokemon could ever shout out. Better soundtrack, better characters, better monster designs and better story. I see no way how that is a guilty pleasure.

So I guess that makes me like Digimon games a guilty pleasure as well.

I also love Card Captor Sakura. There.

Lucky Star, Pokemon Best Wishes (you have to admit Team Rocket really stepped up and the japanese Meowth sounds badass.)
Eminem
Angry Birds
A couple of Ke$ha songs, not many.

This video and the song in it.
I don't know what's so entrancing about it but the song is really catchy. AABA format at its best IMO. And the video is hilarious...

Pro wrestling. It's not so much a guilty pleasure as it is something I'll never bring up in conversation unless mentioned. I just find it entertaining, and fun to watch, especially during a really good match. It's also fun to try and predict how the storylines will end up.

Also, Youtube Poop. Yes, there are lots of bad ones, but the good ones are just too damn funny...
My brother has made a handful of Youtube Poops. Here are a few of them. The first one took him two years. He started making it before there were any Mario's Fundamentals YTPs but it still feels pretty original after seeing so many others. We used to play that game on the computer all the time.

And this one is a personal YTP that he made out of a 6 second clip of myself and some friends drunk at the bar (I'm holding the camera, so no incriminating evidence.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ArRBcRsUFi4

I'm not ashamed of how funny I find some of them. I introduced my friends to my favorites and we still quote some of the better CDi ones.

Dungeons and Dragons 2: The Wrath of the Dragon God (2005) It was on late last night and I stayed awake just to watch it, even though I've seen it half a dozen times before. It's kind of pants.

Pokemon. I'm a grown man, for crying out loud, but God help me, I can't stop thinking about making that perfect squad. 24 Hail Mary's.

I quite enjoyed the Spice Girls. But I don't feel guilty about it.

I quite enjoyed WoW. But I don't feel guilty about that either.

Hmmmm. Nope, can't do it. My pleasures exist to please me and I refuse to feel guilty about entertaining myself.

This may just be the people I hang out with, but the things I'm most mocked for are reading a lot of comics like Lackadaisy ("You read comics? Wait, are those FURRIES?"), watching M*A*S*H and Family Guy, and listening to things like Keane (which, in my defense, is a small portion of my music).

On the other hand, the friend who makes the most fun is the one who loves Lifetime movies and Xiu Xiu, so...

I have the strangest feeling I'm about to be shunned.

I see you the musical and raise you the movie having a special place in the heart of this burly 26 year old guy.

Working at a summer camp in cottage country we had our first night off in two weeks. Our bosses take us out to the movies and we dress up in the "drama" departments goofiest clothes. The movie was Legally Blonde. I loved every moment of it. Including a trailer played at the begining.

*Reads in deep gravely movie guy voice* "It's hungry... and it's coming... for you...Jeepers Creepers" *Peels of laughter*

I have decided I will see the musical on one condition. Victor Garber needs to play the role on stage that he played in the movie.

I will admit it. The Legally Blonde musical did make me grin like a fool. Even though I hate that style of singing and I felt like the composer was listening to Wicked on repeat while writing the song, and I haven't watched the movie in years.

Some things are just fun!

There appears to be more than a few people confused about what exactly a guilty pleasure is.

One that I get told should be my "guilty" pleasure is the Transformers-movies (yes, the live-action ones... yes, the ones directed by Michael Bay) but I can't possibly call it a guilty pleasure, since I don't feel neither guilt nor shame about liking the movies (and screw you, should you try to convince me otherwise).

However, something that I do feel ashamed about liking (despite loving it in a wierd, horrific way) and would probably never utter aloud to anyone but close friends (and now you, Internet) is the Inheritance Cycle [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inheritance_Cycle] series of books. Yes, those shitty [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eragon],derivative [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eldest], vile [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brisingr] books. I have no idea what it is that attracts me to them because I realise there's not a trace of originality in any of the books and the writing is amateurish at best, but I've read them... at least four times each. I just can't stop.

I think I've got issues.

I love the Spice Girls movie... I used to own it until it got lost in a move, which is probably for the best considering it would be right next to my horror films.

I love pokemon too, but I'd like to think of it as nostalgia. Although it is rather uncomfortable playing it out in public, I lie when people ask me what I'm playing...

Hmm... I like the Silent Hill and Doom movies. I get happy-bouncy when I listen to Forever by Chris Brown, knowing full well that he's a woman-beater. Whenever my cousin and I play Super Mario Bros. 3, we only put it on in order to play tag in the mini-game levels until the fireballs kill us. Most of the music on my mp3 player is video game soundtracks or Rebecca Mayes singing ABOUT video games... the twilight books are shameful self-indulgence... and I occasionally am moved to tears while watching figure skating, especially ice dancing. Oh, and I prefer watching other people play video games than playing them myself.

POOF!
*burns up with shame*
