As for the WW2 thing, it makes perfect sense. Now we have a mummy Dig Daddy, ad a daddy Big Daddy. As for there not being any little boys, I think it was explained, though I don't remember it.

I think I remember an audio log saying that boys died during the bonding procedure with the sea slug.
Biologically speaking this makes sense; universally the mortality rate for boys is much higher than girls when there are complications at birth.

If you have ever been around a large group of lesbian feminists, and I have, you know that they are probably too busy infighting to even notice men, unless the men of course are being total asshats to them. Even then, there are too many Buddhists in the group to actually start a fight, and the ones that aren't Buddhist are dating the Buddhists and they don't want to look bad in front of their girlfriends.

As for the femininity of male characters in Japanese games, the Japanese have a longstanding cultural belief that beautiful is beautiful, and that a a beautiful person of one gender should be able to pass for a beautiful person of the other gender. There are a fair number of transvestite rock stars in Japan who are straight, and no one questions it, and the girls go nuts over them. Why? Because beautiful is beautiful.

When I played Fable, I would occasionally run my character around in a ponytail and a dress. Part of it was because I didn't have a female option and part of it was that I really liked the idea of a transvestite hero. I always liked the reactions, too, when my character would hit on the straight guys, and they'd be like, "Um, what? I don't get it" or "Sorry, thanks, no." Of course, having a violent reaction to a guy carrying an obsidian battle ask who can shoot fireballs at you isn't wise, even if he is wearing a frock.

I would have to say that Kirby is a male. However I'm unsure if there are any more of Kirby's race out there. Having very little contact with Kirby games.

There are in fact a race of Kirbies, with Kirby being the most prominent. Similar to the Yoshis. The other Kirbies play no role in the games apart from cameos.

EDIT: I forgot about The Amazing Mirror. Kirby's split into 4 different Kirbies. You control the pink one and the other 3 (red, green and yellow from memory, although one might be blue instead) follow you around and aid you in a haphazard fashion. Other players can link up and control one of these Kirbies.

I think in Gordon's case it's up to the player as they're supposed to insert themselves in his shoes. My Freeman was a badarse mofo with only one reason holding him back from Alyx... there's aliens that need a crowbaren'.

Well her last name is Toadstool, and she's the only "human" in a land of mushrooms, turtles, squids, fish, and dragons.

I would have to say the Pricness Peach does no exist. She is a hallucination brought on by Mario's failing psyche after he was enlightened on his situation. Trapped in a nightmarish world filled with man eatig plants and mushrooms doomed to save a mushroom race from a dragon. Peach is just a composite of everything he likes in a woman and what he knows of faery tales. Hence why they're never, "together".

Kinda falls apart in the RPGs when Peach interacts with other characters, but in the main games, perfectly believable

On Topic: Since it also ties in the with this weeks issue, I'm gonna say Dom from Gears of War isn't what he appears to be. The Award 'Dom-curious' is my main piece of evidence for this assumption.

well that's idea is thrown out the window since some of the main story-line in gears of war 2 is where Dom is looking for his wife.
