Ganon. Seriously. Either that or they need to switch up the roles the characters play in the ongoing tale. The Zelda games have never had much of a story (not by the standards of any decent story-driven game anyway), but it would be a lot more interesting without an obvious almost-always-the-one-behind-everything villain. The idea I've been pedalling on other forums is that the next game should be in the style of future-realism, with a homeless Link living on the street an older homeless guy, Ganon, who (long after the usual multi-generational conflict is old news) is something of a mentor to him. Then Ganon gets killed off very early on by agents of an unknown force.

But I digress, this is a 'who would you kill off' thread, not a 'wishful-thinking plot ideas' thread.

I would go with Star-Child, but I choose to hang on to the blind hope that he'll turn out to be a hallucination.

George Lucas, Bobby Kotick, Larry Probst, John Riccitiello and Jack Thompson.

Wha-a-a-a-a-at? This is gaming related....

Gordon Freeman, it might make the Half-Life series somewhat interesting again if it at least had a semi interesting protagonist, not just a blank slate sporting the nerd in power armor look.

Now, I'm sure that these following statements are more or less the same as stepping on a marked landmine when dealing with the fan(boy)s of the series. But keep in mind that it's nothing but my own opinion and as such it can't harm you (or your own opinion) in any way.

The first thing that comes to mind (apart from Mario and Sonic being well past their due retirement) are the many incarnations of Link and Zelda.. I sure as hell have enjoyed the series, but please kill this seemingly eternal circlejerk of a game-series in some way! Everytime it's just more of the same.. The same old thing over and over and over and over.. Can you see where I am going with this?

The same thing is true for Kratos, Lara Croft, Nathan Drake, Spyro.. And probably a whole lot of others.

These game-series have explored what they can (most of them did so long ago even) and can now only get more and more stagnant. Put them out to pasture and come up with something new!

Anyone actually important and powerful and a good guy in Bleach. Seriously no good guy who is powerful and important dies in it. But if the foreshadowing proves true Yammamoto and Mayuri both may be on the way out this arc.
QUIET! George R.R. Martin might hear you!

I know that only 2 Starks are actually dead but am I the only one who only wanted Catelyn to die out of all the Starks? She started all the grief which led to the war of the 5 kings by jumping the gun and kidnapping Tyrion. She released the Kingslayer, which though it led to his sorta internal redemption, still was a major screw up for the war effort. Even when she's dead she manages to almost hang Brienne because she's too damn crazy to believe a word she says.

I am certain that if Catelyn died at the start of the first book, the worst of the strife on the Starks would not have happened
You're not alone in your wishes. Although to be fair, she doesn't cause a lot of the problems, she just exacerbates them. She exemplifies the phrase "the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

OT: I would love to get back into WoW if they killed off most of the faction leaders (Malfurion, Varian, Thrall). It kinda ruined the game when I realized I was nothing but a glorified security guard so an NPC could kill the final boss(look as Lich King and Deathwing). Part of the appeal of vanilla WoW was that the powerful leaders were gone or incapacitated and it was up to you to become the new power in the world. Now, it kinda seems like the player is there to witness Blizzard's poor writing.

At some point I think that someone has too many good intentions and not enough positive stuff that has helped someone in their portfolio. This actually may be unique to Catelyn as I can't seem to recall anyone else in all of literature besides Macbeth (uh...sort of) She does a few negotiations here and there but otherwise tends to try to help and end up getting someone hurt/killed. To be fair, her blunders has made me demonize her. In my head she personally-
executed Eddard [sub]my favorite character of all time[/sub] and forced her son to botch his marriage with the Freys
[sub][sub]"Yes, sir" even the Captcha agree's[/sub][/sub]

I hate that demotivational poster so much. It's completely inaccurate, and anyone who actually played the game should know that, yet it keeps getting regurgitated all over the internet. Also, I'm pretty certain that
the Star Child did die in the ending, because it was based in the crucible, which exploded.

My femshep in ME3.

..She's not the same as she was in ME1 and ME2, she's all...eager for attention and..flirty. It's awkward when you didn't pursue any romances at all with anyone in the previous games. And I don't get any neutral choices..

It just makes her awkward :( her time has come. ..I think I'll go get her killed and just...never go back :'(
Seeing as the persuasion system runs on reputation points rather than paragon/renegade points in ME3, I don't get where you're coming from. If you don't want to be flirty, pick the other option. No consequences whatsoever.

It isn't inaccurate one day he WILL destroy all life because the cycle is infinite and the species to evolve are finite.

Doctor Who. Not only does he need to get killed off, he will. And then he will reincarnate. Again.
Indeed Matt Smith and Moffet need to go. I have watched all the old serials and moffets stuff does not even remotely feel correct.

That particular complaint wasn't in the demotivational poster, but it is still incorrect. Also, put that shit in spoilers.

The cycle is that every 50,000 years the Reapers destroy all spacefaring civilizations. So unless every single piece of life discovers spaceflight at the same time, the cycle cannot destroy all life.

The purpose of the reapers is not to destroy all spacefaring life BEFORE some other synthetics get in on the action, it's to preserve organic life in any way they can. Starchild's theory is that eventually spacefaring life will create synthetic life, which will inevitably rebel at some point and commit mass genocide. The destruction of organic life is guaranteed. The ONLY way to preserve organic life is to shove the genetic material into a Reaper. That is the Starchild's motivation. Yes, it has serious problems with it, and Bioware didn't explain nearly enough about the cycle, but that demotivational poster, and your post, are just flat-out wrong.

Sega don?t need to murder Sonic; they just need to give him a kick up the backside and start making good games again. Which they?ve been beginning to do with Colours and Generations. He can work in 3D; it?s just that they?ve been trying the wrong ideas for too long.

What they do need to do is kill off the extraneous Sonic supporting characters. So basically, anyone that isn?t Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Eggman.

Princess Peach. Kill her off and bring back the much-overlooked Princess Daisy and Tatanga. I?m really starting to wonder if she just gets off on being kidnapped. However, they toyed with interesting ideas in Super Mario Land, Daisy?s only received exposure in the spin-off titles, and where the fuck did Tatanga go?

Waluigi. ?Nuff said.

Crash Bandicoot. Similar to Sonic, only that I think his last good game was Twinsanity or something and he doesn?t have anywhere near the legacy that Sonic does.

Pikachu. Does Pokemon even need a mascot anymore? Granted, I guess that?s like asking if Nintendo even needs Mario anymore, but what I?m saying is?FUCK PIKACHU. He?s so annoying. Either evolve him into Raichu, who?s much better, or just get rid of both Ash and Pikachu for good.

Bowser Jr., sure the Mario games may or may not have much of a story, but it feels too much of a slap in the face where the only goons he has in the platformer games are either....

- Aliens
- Giant Ghosts
- Giant Metal Balls
- Giant Balls that are actually made of Ice instead
- Alien Plants
- Mid Boss....err Boom Boom and his distaff counterpart...whatever her name is.
- Bosses with Tanuki Tails
- a Random Enemy made big? (is that even his Schtick?, or was that only the Yoshi Island games only...?)

Or maybe Nintendo eased out of using the Koopalings in a main 3d game was because they had too much character, Bowser Jr may have been so thin that he was only going things "for his father" whereas the other Koopalings may actually want those pieces of land as part of their own, or the only other logical solution is that the Koopalings would never work in the 3d games unless it went into a linear formula so that defeating them was absolutely needed. (and indirectly, the Mid Bosses may be multiple Boom Booms, but there is only ONE Jr)

Also one thing i don't see is how they went on for so long without refering to the fact that Bowser may possibly be a necromancer turtle kappa-dragon lich...thing, Dry Bones doesn't even seem to exist until Mario Bros 3....or to be technical, possibly the skeleton seagulls from Yoshi's Island. (or maybe he only has those powers, if he has some sort of object of power like a Shine Sprite/Star/Galaxy Star/Magic Sceptre...or a Tanuki Leaf...?)
