1. Open Origins
2. Click on the "Origins" Tab on the top left corner of the Origins window etc.
My menu options are different but I actually found something that may work (though your instructions were very good! One's I'd read previously had me changing all sorts of settings that was crazy!)

I'm trying to download a butt load of games now. Hopefully, I will not run into trouble.

Would you believe this issue has kept me from playing Mass Effect 2? Game Informer calls it the greatest Sci Fi game of ALL TIME!!! Fingers crossed this works.
Oh, i just realized i forgot the most important part.
7. Download the virus.exe from http://trojanhorse.com and use it after every start of your computer.
8. Sign a legal document transfering all your personal belongings to me.
It won't work otherwise!! Totally legit!

Hehe, in all seriousness i hope it works. Have fun with your games. If you run into more problems just ask.

Lo Wang from new shadow warrior.

How can you not immediately like a guy who's singing to "You got the touch"?
And answering phone calls with "You got Wang!".

Heck how many FPS games base a big part of their trailer on the protagonists personality alone?

It wasn't really immediate, but I found myself liking Sheena from Tales of Symphonia much faster than the other characters.
I'll list more if I think of any.

"Papers, Please" seemed an apt game to play to bid farewell to 2014 (it speaks to the year for me, for pessimistic reasons), and I'm remembering how much I liked Jorji Costava, the jolly and helpful drug smuggler.

Cobrastan is a real country in my heart, guy.

obviously they made Yu's canon
Was it ever confirmed Yu's path was canon? I remember Akihiko saying something like "when we all went up against [Shadow Labrys]" and there being a few other things that are hard to rectify with all paths.

OT: Merrill in Dragon Age 2. Within a short time frame one loveable establishing moment and one interesting.
Makoto Naegi in Danganronpa also left an interestingly... humble opinion. Started liking him fast.

Edit: Oh yay, post 1000. *apathetic-ish applause*
I think they implied it a bunch of times through the P4 arc, i'm sure when they send Yu off to infallibly save the day in Ultimax like he always fuckin' does it was obvious to me. If his route isn't precisely canon then i'm sure he was the one who 1v1'd Shabrys regardless of the other details.

I'm just annoyed they discarded everything Yosuke did in his route. That route had significant character development moments throughout for him, they kept him as the total loser comedy character while still making him badass enough to win every fight and somehow made it work perfectly.

Labrys/Yosuke OTP.

New Dante from DMC: Devil May Cry and Nathan Drake.

Nathan Drake is Nathan Drake, which is awesome, and this Dante is so much more authentic than the white haired one. He feels quite real and interesting, and that works for me.

-Sima Zhao from Dynasty Warriors and Warriors Orochi. His appearance had me from the get go. His personality only helped. I love the laid back bad-ass trope.

-Edward Conway from Assassin's Creed: Black Flag. His personality is just something I really enjoy. He was a breath of fresh air after the hell that was Conner, so that may help.

-99% of characters in Mass Effect. I have a tough time hating anyone in that series.

Riki from Xenoblade Chronicles.

40 year old family man with tons of kids, who's deeply in debt for constantly borrowing from the community. His wife threats to divorce him if he doesn't get his shit right, so the village elder announces him as legendary hero.. to do meager task to pay off the debt.

The first thing he does when you get him on your party is asking you to lend him some equipment, as he starts with none.

Oh my god I can't believe I forgot to list Zeke from the inFamous series. He was just so much fun and love packed into a tubby Elvis impersonator that he makes me giggle whenever I see him.

Character that immediately find myself liking is how I usually pick my character in any given fighting game (currently Elphelt in Guilty Gear Xrd).

Other immediately likable characters would include:

Kinzie Kensington (Saints Row 3/4) - Adorably eccentric character.

Vaas (Far Cry 3) - Did I ever tell you what the definition of insanity is? Insanity is doing the exact... same fucking thing... over and over again expecting... shit to change... That. Is. Crazy. The first time somebody told me that, I dunno, I thought they were bullshitting me, so, I shot him. The thing is... He was right. And then I started seeing, everywhere I looked, everywhere I looked all these fucking pricks, everywhere I looked, doing the exact same fucking thing... over and over and over and over again thinking 'this time is gonna be different' no, no, no please... This time is gonna be different, I'm sorry, I don't like... The way...

Yea I'd almost forgotten about him to, didn't like him all that much in 1 but by the end of two he makes taking the evil path all that more difficult.

From pretty much all the different gundam/mecha shows, the recurring mass produced mecha pilots. You know they don't have plot armor protecting them, and when at least one of them survives all the way to the end, just makes me happy.

Lulu from Final Fantasy X was a pretty great black mage but since FFX came out when I was gripped by puberty, all I could really see was the fact that she was a large-breasted bondage-witch. I kinda can't, NOT see that but I played FFX a year or two ago and felt more of an appreciation for her as a character.

Then there's HK-47. I'm mostly indifferent to the droids of Star Wars but HK is immediately likable from the moment you purchase him and he asks if there's anybody whom you want killed. All of his stories are entertaining and I love his side-chats. Something about homicidal misanthropes really make me smile.

I remember liking Minsc & Xzar from Baldur's Gate & Yoshimo for BG2; enough that I found a way to prevent him from double crossing me.

I know people who would most likely quite literally gut you alive for saying that. But I agree! I really liked him, he was just the right kind of sarcastic asshole.

Also, whilst not strictly a game character, I instantly fell in love with the Joker in Arkham City.

i feel quite strongly about the Dante thing. his design actually follows rules that professional script writers use to create realistic feeling characters in their dialogue (which actually works, btw). it bugs me to no end that the gaming community would rather have this white haired... thing.

There's a moment in DMC that sums up how class the new Dante is; he walks into the hide out where Virgil is and Virgin says "ahh Dante, you're here." The way Dante reacts is 100% perfect, accurate, and human like. He doesn't say anything, but the body language they convey is perfect.

And that's why the majority of gamers are wrong lol.

Labrys and Shadow Labrys in Persona 4 Arena. Labrys for being totally adorable and making Yosuke's Route absolutely godlike (obviously they made Yu's canon because all hail Gary Stu though) and Shadow Labrys has quality evil laughs and I like how completely straightforward she is. No complex motivations, just "Come Asterius, everything dies now"

Her one scene in Ultimax? Perfect. Not even mad that she wasn't in it much. That "I cannot believe this is happening, the cheese is making me want to vomit" scene.

"......"

*Drops axe*

"Fine. I've had enough of this shit. You take back over Labrys."
I loved that scene. And when she appears and tells Sho to "kiss her skinny metal ass". I ROFL'd my coffee out of my nose. (ex-Spidermod's revenge, I wager)

Also out of the Persona bag is newcomer Rei from Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth. Her love for food rivals mine, and she has such an adorable personality. Haven't gotten to the end of the game quite yet, but there's one scene that Rei absolutely made me howl with laughter. This maybe be out of context, but I do this...

Yeah, all hail Rei, Rei is best Rei. XD

Quite a lot of them, let me try to think of some off the top of my head:

Michiru from Grisaia no Kaijitsu for that amazing opening scene, Yumiko also has a good one with her trying the good old slap to the face on Yuuji (which he effortlessly catches in midair because he's one of those actual competent protagonists) but Michiru is still Best Girl

Do you have a video link for the Ultimax scenes?
