52/100, quite privilaged, yet quite below others getting the same rank.

I'm actually kind of disappointed in it. So many marks against you for being white, straight, cis, and capable of paying your bills, but the section on disabilities is quite short. I don't wish to diminish the struggles of anyone, but it seems heavily focused on people's lack of respect for some groups to the detriment of those of us that actually have had to deal with certain jobs being beyond our reach, our mobility being limited (I don't ride the bus out of poverty), or even the ability to chose for ourselves if it's something developmental (not my case, but I work in the field).

54 out of 100. Seems about right, I'm fairly privileged for my British nationality, education and family background but lose points for sexuality and disabilities. I liked how the quiz focused a lot on economic factors, which I think are often understated in comparison to factors like ethnicity which are becoming less relevant these days.

29/100... yeah I'm calling bullshit. I don't have to worry about a militant warlord going on a genocidal rampage, so I'd say I've got it pretty good in the privilege department all things considered.

Keep in mind that it's a Buzzfeed quiz so it's not exactly super cereal, I just thought it would be a bit of fun to see people's scores.

I'll say. I've been to summer camp, but only because that's what they did with the poor kids 'round these parts. Down the road was the juvenile offenders camp.

Also, I don't have student loans because I feared being unable to pay them back. I worked 40+ hour weeks, sometimes two or three jobs, to cover my community college tuition. Community college. Considering the colleges I was able to get into, this was heartbreaking in and of itself.

SO PRIVILEGED.

And even counting those as checked, I scored....16/100. If I wasn't white, I'd be completely screwed. And even the, I'm half Native, so if my other half presented more, I probably would be.

Also, I feel like some of those statements could be taken in any context other than what they're intending.

68??!! I pretty much had it tremendously easy on this quiz too being a white, straight, middle class raised, Christian male. I will admit to my good life and all, but even I feel like it should be higher than that. I guess I was hurt by the fact I've never had a paid job so left those unclicked. Though in the spirit of the quiz, I do feel incredibly blessed to have a fairly good life.

Then again I usually never let internet quizzes make me think differently about myself anyway. >.>

Edit: I just want to say I am glad I was never forced to go to Summer Camp as a kid, I was one of those kids who had anxieties with being away from my home and parents.

56 (quite privileged) while answering honestly but being unsure about some of the questions (I'm not religious and some of those questions weren't relevant to me). I feel like "I am white" and "I am male" are a little redundant when a large portion of the quiz focuses on whether you were ever discriminated against or harassed for your gender and skin color..... but I guess enough people would argue that being white and male is a privilege in and of itself (people like neo-nazis and Tumblr users)

My score is sort of driven down because I choose not to tell most people about my varied romantic interests (I don't feel it's any of their business honestly); so the score could have easily been over 60.

I'm a white male college graduate with a lousy job but enough sense to be able to make ends meet on a low budget; I've not been discriminated against for the most part, but I was bullied a little in school (who wasn't?).

I'm a little curious about the "I've never done my own taxes" option; I figure one would be privileged to know how to do their own taxes. I can see how this might be applicable to business owners who have their accountants sort out their taxes, but I know plenty of very low income individuals who simply don't know how to file taxes and have had friends or relatives do it for them.



*note that the nazi thing is a joke; I'm not saying "lol social justice people are like nazis" I am pointing out the irony in the fact that some people who fight for race equality demand that "white people" acknowledge that they have an inherent advantage because they are white, while some extreme racists with radically different views on race equality would be more than happy to agree.

Yeah, honestly, like a quarter of the questions don't apply to me since I haven't finished high school yet (I'm doing my last year). I still got a 58 out of 100.

Huh, I'm actually surprised, seeing as me and my family are Russian immigrants from Uzbekistan (a.k.a. a grade-A shithole ruled by a dictator were Russians were discriminated based on their religion, ethnicity and culture). Out of the 14 years that we've been living in Belgium only 4 years are classified as "legal". Which means that in those other 10 year my parents (legally) couldn't get a job, a car, free healthcare or any kind of social benefits.

Oh, and we've only recently climbed over the (Belgian, so yeah, take that with a grain of salt) poverty line. I still don't have a Belgian nationality so any further studies (universitary or just college) will be a pain in the ass, just dealing with all the paperwork will be a nightmare... Oh, and let's not forget the stereotyping... I'm kind of sick and tired of hearing the clichéd "Vodka vodka Boris Yeltsin" joke and people starting to talk in a kind of broken accent... thanks, jerk, last time I remembered my Dutch and French were still better than yours.... And let's not forget those idiotic nationalists shouting "hurr durr dey tuk awr jarbs!!!" or "all those immigrants are just criminal scum".

I'm really feeling privileged over here, thank you...

Yeah I heard about this joke-quiz a while back. But privilege is a real thing, and people should be aware of it and not mocked for talking about it. The above quote that I just saw recently encapsulates why very well.

I'd like to point out that you automatically have 25 points just for being a straight white male who isn't ashamed of being a straight white male (many of these questions logically default to "yes" with that being true). So this quiz is pretty damn bias. So using this quiz, a $50,000/year wage white guy might score the same privilege as Ellen Degeneres..... think about that for a second.

For the record, I am not denying that I am privileged (I am, but it's not for those reasons alone), I just feel that 25% is a lot of weight to be just for being straight white and male. : \

42 out of 100. Seems low to me. That said I think privilege has become a rather nebulous term in this context and is too often confused with simply not being subjected to a form of discrimination.

I'm a white, straight male and I got a 48/100 even though I answered 100% honestly. I'm quite surprised, but I guess this just goes to show "privilege" is not secret Tumblr code for "bias against straight white dudes."

Naturally, I'm oh-so shocked by that fact.

Tumblr isn't really like that. Just the overzealous asshats, which... okay that's probably most of them, but... you get the idea.

I got 54, but I think that many of these questions are poorly phrased. Because I chose not to go to college my parents didn't help pay for it and I don't have any loans. So that would have probably gotten me into the 60's at least. Also I'm not religious, so that probably would have been mid-60's. I'm going to round up to 65.....just like I did in high school.

I got 45, lower than I expected although some of the question are a bit iffy. "Is there a place of worship for you religion in your town? well no because I'm Atheist and don't worship anything. Also there needs to be something between never and yes because then its counting one off things. For example I have been called racial slurs in non joking manners but that hardly common.
