This is why socialism applied is bad. It doesn't encourage original thinking at all, and ends up with cheap knockoffs of whatever may be popular.
So can you please direct me to the original theme park that Blizzard built in secret? Or do I have to resort to going to some cheap knockoff in China to fulfill my geek dreams of seeing a WoW/Starcraft theme park?
You're getting a bit aggressive over nothing there.

Nobody said they ripped of a blizzard theme park. What they DID do is steal character designs and even EXACT artwork from Blizzard.
Who's being aggressive? I don't deny they stole Blizzard's IP. But let's see what Blizzard has done recently: make a sequel to Starcraft 10 years after the first and milking the crap out of it by dividing it into 3 games (2 of them yet to be released). And create another expansion to WoW, a game that's also 10 years old, but this time it features pandas! Meanwhile, some rich Chinese schmuck took the same designs that have been around for 10+ years, and built a motherfucking theme park. Yet people are accusing him of a lack of imagination. I just find that ironic.

It's 2014 now? I wasn't aware.

Even if it were, I doubt their copyrights would've expired.
You're right, it's only been 7 years. :) Still, it's pretty sad that the only way for me to get soaked on a log ride coming out of some sunken temple imitation with giant gold statues, I have to fly 6000 miles to the land of communist oppression and noncreativity. :(

You probably don't want to go there. It looks a bit run down, honestly.

China what the hell guys, your Japanese neighbors make such original shit (albeit freakishly odd alot of the time) and this is all you do? Come on you've got some awesome minds, start working some creativity. Blizzard want your cooperation with allowing the Warcraft expansions into your country on release badly enough that they aren't going to say anything but good lord.

Isn't this the same park that built a big mecha robot statue that was a perfect ripoff of the Gundam franchise? I do believe they lost that lawsuit and had to remove the statue.

I guess Japan was geographicly too close, so they figure American copyright infrigment might go unnoticed?

all I can say is its good(or bad depending on your view )they ripped off blizzard rather than Bethesda. because going by their track record they will probably would've taken them to court. Not so sure about blizzard though they seem pretty lax on the whole legal side by comparison.

Regardless of the legal situation you could not pay me to go on any of those rides considering they are already having problems with rust and whatnot, God knows how long it will be till one of those rides breaks down in some horrific way. I just hope that when it inevitably does happen that not too many people are injured/killed.( come to think of it, if the Park is already falling apart I highly doubt the owners have any money.)

I'm kind of saddened how this thread turned out as an excuse to make racist remarks about another country.

You probably mean 'Games Workshop 'creatively borrows' from just about every fantasy and sci-fi universe of the era to create WH and WH40K'.

Not that I don't like those franchises, but originality ain't exactly their strong point.

FINE.

1979- Aliens is released, introducing the Xenomorph.
1982- Games Workshop creates Warhammer, a grimdark fantasy tabletop game. Featuring the forces of Chaos, a bunch of crazies ruled by D&D alignment system styled Great Old Ones. Grimdark elves and grimdark orks abound.
1987- Games Workshop creates Warhammer 40,000, which is basically Warhammer in space. Space elves and space orks abound.
~1992- a suspiciously Xenomorph like race is mentioned in the Rouge Trader.

2001- Games Workshop adds Tau as a playable faction to Warhammer 40,000 and declares ?YEAH WE REMEMBER YOU YA LITTLE CROTCH BITING MUNCHKIN!?
~2011- CCJoy begins construction on Joyland. Whining ensues.

Happy now?

You know, I'm getting tired of hearing this shit of our soon to be chinese overlords.
Do you not follow history?
Manpower is nothing if you don't have something to back it up.
The reason Europe conquered all of America, with it's combined army of a few hundred thousand, with bands of 200 soldiers, and so on.

Launching a full scale invasion of the united states would get china nowhere. They can hardly fend for themselves, they constantly run out of food, and look at something else too, THEY'RE COMMUNIST.

Have you noticed what happens to people who live under communist countries? they get angry, they want change, and sometimes (Speaking for the USSR) they fall to the ground, flat on their face. People in China want freedoms, and they have unsucessfully rioted for them in the past, what makes you think they're people will hold them through a bloody invasion where they might as well take half the world with them.

And plus, our debt to china isn't as much as most people think, yeah it's a lot, but not enough to spark an invasion anytime soon for, unless they are retards.
