I wonder if she plans on telling her child the world is flat?
I'd just like to know how much ignorance she intends to pass on.

So wait, this woman got upset because her child was asking her uncomfortable questions she'd rather not talk about? Welcome to real life, dipshit. :D

I never really understood why people call Christians homophobic. We don't like homosexuality, therefore, we're afraid of it, apparently. This is a great example of how liberals destroy any voice that America has.

"You don't believe what I believe, so I've decided to bash you in the face as much as possible until you cry"
And that last part is a great example of how Christians do the same to more liberal thinkers. I'm not going to bash you in the face, I'm just going to inform you that you're incorrect in your hatred of, and oppressive to, homosexuals.
Christians don't hate anyone. Or at least shouldn't. We are told to hate sin, and one of the many sins you can commit is homosexuality. It does not say anywhere at all in the bible to hate a sinner, because everyone is a sinner. So no, I do not hate homosexuals. I think they need God.

If a child is old enough to ask about it, they're old enough to know about it. Making these sorts of things taboo is what screws up our opinions of them.

You know how she should have dealt with that question from her daughter?

"I'll tell you when you're older"

Not bitched and whined to it to everybody else.

Bloody Soccer-Moms... This kind of shit isn't worth my time...

Christians try to save lives. We have seen what God has done to our and others' lives and want to share that with as many people as possible. And we will stand up for what we believe in.

Good thing I'm not Christian; I'm Roman Catholic! (lol)

But sectarian violence aside, there are plenty of ways to avoid the subject of homosexuality and gay marriage if one is uncomfortable with talking about it with their children. For example:

My daughter, playing the Game of Life: "Mom, how do I marry a woman?"
Me: "...you just lost The Game, lol!"
My daughter: "..."
Me: *awkward manic smile pasted on my face*
My daughter: "That doesn't really answer my questi-"
Me: *interrupting* "Wanna see some baby pictures?"

My tactic is to delay and prolong the inevitable.

Also, the title of this thread should be changed to "Mother attacks Gay Agenda in PC Game". Her religion is only circumstantial.

With headlines that read "Christains Attack....", my Spider-sense went up almost immediately.

Unfortunately, the nature of your headline reads as if simply 'ALL' Christians..., which is simply not true and just as offensive to those that aren't hell bent on attacking everything secular or otherwise.

As a Christian myself, and one who also tends to vote more conservatively on many issues (not all, but many) doesn't seem fair to automatically equate me or all Christians as 'Conservative Christians' and thus lend ourselves to the right-wing, anti-establishment, fire and brimstone wielding radicals.

Like any religion, group, club, organsization...I'd venture to say people fall all over the spectrum. This father and daughter do not speak for me or my religious viewpoints...and please note I have yet to even say where I fall on this particular issue.

In fact, I'd venture to say most Catholics are Democrats, and yet all Catholics should also be Christian. So don't start an article saying 'Christians attack "Gay Agenda" in PC game', because this alos lumps in Catholics, Baptists, Lutherans, Methodists...etc...all of whom are Christian, and I say much more liberal than me.

I cracked up. Hardcore. Thats the most I've laughed all day.
*wipes tear away*
*facepalms*
*puts serious face on*

This is just ridiculous. Intolerant homophobic Christians strike again.

*Edit in response to reading the above post*

This isn't a sweeping statement claiming that all Christians are intolerant homophobes. It is however expressing disgust and annoyance at how the actual intollerant homophobic ones are up in arms over absolutely nothing again.

I'm not sure it does Disciple; being a little cramped for space in headlines, I have to get the facts out first and leave embellishments until later. If it had been "All Christians" I would have used a phrase such as "The Christian Church". That's why I also made it apparent in the lede.
If I said "Dogs attack Man", would you think I meant all dogs?

My head hurts when I read posts like this.
If the game prohibited gay marriage, people would complain.
If the game allowed gay marriage, people would complain.

Why don't we all just shut the fuck, accept that some things are the way they are and learn to deal with it.
It seems that nowadays, people will find any excuse to complain about things.

I think I have to agree with the mother, you don't want to get kids all confused with gay marriage
You're kidding, right? And what do you mean, "confused"? Do think kids are gonna start having second thoughts about their own sexuality because a game says that there are more "options"?
sorry that may have not been worded properly, what I meant to say is that little kids shouldn't have to worry about big issues such as gay marriage, I don't think this was a "attack on the gay agenda" but more of a defense of kids from having to worry about stuff like that
OK, that I can understand. They're still young, they can learn about things like that later when it'll make more sense to them.

..."Gay agenda"?

What the hell does that even mean? Gay people are now sitting in a circular room, plotting their next move against 'them damn hetros" or something?

This whole dilemma reeks of "I'm not homophobic, I just believe gay is wrong."
Hell, I knew what it was to be gay aged seven or eight and, judging by the fact that a modern small child quite happily uses a string of insults that would have made a Viking blush, she's going to know what it is to be gay. It's not exactly hard to describe anyway. "Some people fall in love with their own gender."

It's not like she's going to throw herself between some random woman's thighs now, is it?
