Hey escapist community! I was just curious about the education of the people on here. So I have a question for anyone who feels like answering it. What did you or do you major in when you were in college? And where did you/ do you go to college?

I am an Anthropology and History Major, and I minor in classical studies. I attend the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Haven't been to college yet.

Not sure if I even want to go.

If I do, I'll major in writing or psychology. Or perhaps astrophysics.

I do enjoy studying space and the like.

I am currently at Oregon State University, studying Industrial Engineering, (switched from Electrical Engineering this spring). Just finished my first year so I still have a ways to go.

Well, I spent my first year at the University of Alabama in Hunstsville (in Hunstville, Alabama. Scholarship applications taught me to enjoy redundantly repeating myself because I had to state the name, city, and state). I majored in computer science, but I had trouble with programming and decided to shift to undecided. In the long run, the trouble cost me my scholarship, so I'm transfering to Wallace State, a local community college, and I'm going into pre-Nursing. Haven't chosen my minor, but I may give programming another chance if I can learn the basics on my own and have a better foundation.

Last year I got a history degree from Cu Denver. Since then I haven't been able to find a job since I grew to despise the topic and want to not follow a career in it, like those are so plentiful anyway. Kinda sucks to be me at the moment

Bachelor, Fine Arts.

Yup, even more worthless than a bachelor in psychology.

However, my master plan is eventually get the MFA and try to land a curator-ship at a museum.

Just graduated with a major in history and a minor in political science at Concordia in Montreal. Contemplating a masters in Russian studies, since I basically fell in love with that country and its brutal and fascinating politics and history.

I went to Ursinus College (bonus points if you've heard of it) and double majored in Media & Communication Studies and Theatre, with a minor in French. But I worked at the Tech Support Help Desk for four years, which is how I got my current job. Maybe I'll actually do something with my degree(s) when people start hiring again.

If you're like me, then you've changed your major 4 times. (4th time is the last).

I'm going to be a Ultrasound Tech. It's a two year degree but pays well. I also like that I won't have to probe anyone to get my job done.

Information Technology with a specialization in Database Administration.

Only changed my major a few half dozen times from nursing to forensic science to pharmacy to computers. I have my AA in general studies so it takes out all the pre-requesites

Just finished my freshman year at college.

Double major in English and East Asian Studies, with a double minor in Chinese and Political Science. I'm also planning on graduating early. Very fun.

...Dare I ask what the devil Database Administration is? My geek cred may have just taken a hit.
