Is it cheap enough to produce that I could end up with some in my medicine cabinet?

But can this 'veti-gel' be converted to money when you go over the arbitrary amount you're allowed to carry?
It becomes Experience, not money. I guess the idea is that if you're skilled enough to not need it, your abilities should reflect that.

Ok, so it clogs wounds real quick - that's nice

but is it bio-degradable? Do you have to remove the lump of veti-gel later to allow your wound to heal, or will it disintegrate as the wound heals?

Is it only a quick-fix or is a long-term solution for wound treatment? Can you just lather it on like a gel-bandaid and then forget about it, or is it only good for emergency "Oh shit I'm bleeding to death better put a plug in it"

they don't really say anything about that in the video or article - and that's a really crucial detail

Now all we need is the damn flying cars, laser guns and flexible bullet proof armor suits and we'll be good.

Till the aliens show up, laugh at us and then turn us in to dog food XD

Great! But where are we on that omni-gel?
Give me some time, I'm sure I could mix something together than can short circuit your run of the mill Simon Says machine.

Well, no matter how well genetically adapted you are, you're still going to be as susceptible to being sliced open as the next guy.

Can we have an omni-tool now? Pretty please? Throw in some biotics while you're at it.

What's the recharge on the Vedi-gel? How many points in First Aid do I need to make it worthwhile?

That sounds a lot like a certain lab report in "Felidae".
I hope they didn't hurt any cats...
Its mostly mice that are harmed during the testing of new medication. Very easy to breed and evolutionairy very close to primates. Besides noone likes mice ^^..Just don't tell PETA.

I love that this was invented by a third-year college student. +1 to prodigy power! I wonder why nobody thought of this beforehand. Or did they, and were unable to make it work?
I wonder how much it will cost to produce. That would be pretty spectacular if you can just find it at your local pharmacy next to the bandages, or even INSTEAD of bandages.
I'm pretty sure we already have spray on bandages for small wounds and scratches. This seems like it's more for emergency personnel rather than everyday commercial use.

Will this stuff be available for little cuts you'll get around the house, or will it be strictly for life threatening stuff?

Because I mean it would be great either way, but I really want something for the little cuts I accumulate from my cats or shaving or whatever.
Yep, we got that.

Well humanity did invent medi-gel in ME, Time to get ready for those Turians.
Well be ready. Remember, we also introduced totally new concepts of war to the Citadel races. We'll kick ass.

My reaction to all the sciences in this thread:

It really is amazing what we've achieved and are continuing to achieve in all of these fields. However, like many others, I will not be satisfied until we have fully functional and realistic virtual reality. And jetpacks... And super powers.

Well, i have a feeling hacking and unlocking doors is going to suddenly be solved depending on how much omni-gel you have on you.

Yeah but in that book, they researched a way to close deep cut wounds, and mice were too small.
Also, it's a great book, sort of a mystery thriller starring cats, just not for kids.
