If this is real, I am going to murder everybody. Everybody in the world.
Please do. I can't live with the shame of not thinking of this first.
I think I'm going to cry now.

Isn't there anybody who is just happy for the dude? If it's fake then he has a great comedy sketch, if it's real then he has a million dollars!
Yeah it's a tad unfair, but hey that's life. And if the millionaire has more money then he knows what to do it, then hey why not give that funny guy a million dollars. It'll be the joke of the century. He will confuse the entire world! If your really rich, then that's totally worth a million dollars. What else is he going to do with it buy another yaught?

controversial opinion bellow here.

And about charity. The kind of charity that needs a million dollars doesn't work, and the kind that does work doesn't need a million dollars. Africa is too screwed up to fix it by just inserting money in it (Honest companies should invest in Africa and it's people, that could fix it) and cancer research doesn't need another million dollars, it has enough.

Hell, I once read an "Urban Legend" about a guy who funded his stay in college and bought a used pickup truck by asking everyone he ever met for some spare change.
Don't know about that one, but this one is pretty similar and confirmed by snopes.

Sadly I have to much pride to beg for a million dollars in front of the world like that guy. Good luck to him, I'll laugh if this is all a scam. I mean a comedian giving some guy who just asked for a mill.. Sounds like a great setup for a joke in my opinion.

That's disproportionate wealth for you, that we've people asking for millions of bucks coming into contact with people who have millions of dollars laying around to chuck at them.

I now expect many, many, many imitators to follow.

So many jealous people, so little time.

Assuming this isn't a hoax (it would be hilarious either way to tell the truth), I say, good for him. People here and on YouTube are always talking about how they hope this man dies or that the million dollars should go to charity.

Well, nope. Those orphans didn't do anything too. Those starving kids in Africa didn't do anything. Those cancer kids didn't do anything. In fact, you could say this man was the only person that actually did anything. He did something so ingenious, yet so simple.

He asked for it.

Even if a thousand little orphans made youtube accounts and started begging for money, people always forget that it's the millionaire's money to begin with. That millionaire worked hard for his money, and he's not allowed to spend it where he pleases? So much bigotry to the upper class, apparently when you're rich you HAVE to give money to charity.

One trait that makes it difficult to trust people more than hate, or bigotry, or ignorance, is jealousy.
So the children who are starving to death in Africa deserve then money less then a middle-class youtube comedian because they didn't ask for it? And how do you know he earned the money and didn't inherit it? And then even if he did earn it; if you have a million to spare and choose to give it to a youtube comedian instead of using it save hundreds of lives, then you are quite simply an awful human being.

How is this any different than any comedian becoming a millionaire? Unorthodox, sure, but in the end he did something funny and got 1 million dollars for it. Sounds fair to me.

Out of interest, how many lives are you saving right now?

As of yesterday around 13, according to the hospital to whom I donate blood. Unfortunately I do not have the resources of a millionaire, but I do what I can.

EDIT: Or rather, I have saved 13

Shouldn't we be flaming people who win the lottery? Seems like the same to me...

Not that I have a problem with this. Kudos to the guy.

Oh, I so hope this is for real. It's almost certainly a publicity hoax for a live show, but their is a little nihilist inside me that wants this to be true, as it will be a product of pure undiluted capitalistic opportunism.

If it is for real, he had better spend some of that money on personal protection as someone is bound to do a video offering to kick the crap out of him if they get sent enough money.

If this is not fake, then I'm certain the alleged millionaire has some reason to do this..As the saying goes "There is no free lunch". Even if it's something hidden and obscure, like (hypothetically speaking, of course) this being the millionaire's way to atone for an undiscovered crime he/she committed years ago, there's ALWAYS a reason for nice things happening out of the blue.
I've seen people on 4chan have their rent paid for them by someone they don't know for no reason other than they felt like being nice.

Could be the millionaire being all "fuck it, I have cash!"

I do hope that the irony of you saying that you should help people, and calling someone a horrible human being in the same sentence is not lost on you.
