You know damn well that by "domestic" I wasn't referring to the legal definition, but the social one.
You know "damn well" that you're stretching the definitions for an artificial distinction. Glass houses and stones, dear.

And I know Abomination well enough to know that what he meant was logically he should hit the girl. He just phrased it poorly.
It's a pretty scary sort of person that advocates for beating a woman, then tries to defend it. Logically nobody should have been beaten, and anyone who makes statements like that is going to get the side-eye from me. A flash of anger is no excuse for violence, domestic or otherwise.
Why is beating a woman suddenly more 'scary' than beating a man?

They should be equally scary. Are you some kind of misandrist?

I don't care about the genders involved. I just dislike seeing someone being physically assaulted for doing NO wrong at all yet the one who did the wrong is somehow even more protected because they're female.

Oh, you're one of those people who thinks misandry is a thing. Oh dear, I'm sorry.

You'll remember, I did say he shouldn't assault anyone. But you said that he should just beat his girlfriend. That is you calling for a man beating a woman. You are advocating in favour of violence against women.

As a feminist: misandry is a thing, pretending it isn't just makes you look like a pretentious asshole constantly trying to belittle the opposition. Like it or not, the decentralized nature of the feminist movement does lead to the inclusion of psychopaths and idiots. Remember that news story about a woman who had a man locked up in her home for ages, raped and abused him constantly, and a bunch of morally and mentally bankrupt 'feminists' praised her as some kind of hero? Or how about yet another story of a man getting his genitals mutilated being met with a choir of cackles or victim-blaming?

I'm sorry for going off-topic, but I'm doing my best to avoid having an opinion on this, because whoever keeps putting these articles up appears to be doing it for the sake of maximizing shock value (and views), which disgusts me more than the possibly harm any of the involved may have come to (the details on this story are so sketchy that I can't form an opinion one way or the other) or the possibility of relationship drama (which in my opinion is no one's business but those involved in the relationship) because it implies that whatever journalistic integrity this site had is just flipping gone.

Man get hit multiple times-receives barely a mention.
Women get's hit once-it the majority focus.

*sigh*

So basically just like most other stories that involve violence then huh?

So... it's apparently not an issue if you hit someone of the same gender but it is if they're the opposite gender?

Whatever happened to equality of the sexes?
