Do you like Complicated Storylines or not?

I like straightforward gameplay. Meaning, a story like "Guy wants to destroy the universe because he's bored"

It depends on how the game presents the story and how good the story itself is.

Depends on what kind of game I am playing. If a RPG is failing in a good storyline, I'll give it the two fingered salute. If it's just a FPS, what do you expect? Sometimes in FPS games, I get a bit irritated if the clips are too long because I just want to shoot stuff.

The only good complicated story line that comes to mind, is Shadow Hearts: Covenant.

The JRPG genre seems to be a big fan of huge, complicated story lines. Can't say they're good though. :|

I like simple plots though, especially since the gameplay is focused on more.

Well, yes, I like complex story lines. However, I like them more along the line of Heavy Rain, and less like the knotted mess of dental floss that Alpha Protocol was.

Yeah, I love complicated storylines, so long as they are presented well. It adds to the value and overall fun of a game or movie if you're trying to work out the storyline days after you finish playing/watching it.

Complex doesn't mean better.

The Sands of Time is a perfect example of that, as is KotOR. KotOR 2 on the other hand tells a more complex story that had the potential to be better, but it's delivery was so poor that it wasn't.

I prefer a deep, complex storyline with intricately detailed mythos, multi-dimensional characters, and plenty of plot twists. I'll take an epic 40-hour Final Fantasy over generic-shooter-of-the-month any day.

Depends. I would prioritize quality over complication. A well written, but basic story is more enjoyable then a badly written and convoluted story. That said though, a well written and well executed complicated story is much better then a well written basic story.

I like a good complex story line over the generic "you are the hero so go save the world" type thing. But it can't be so complex that your sitting there asking yourself who supposedly key characters are or what the heck is happening. If at any point during the game you just give up and enjoy the gameplay the story line is way to confusing. I like story lines like KoTOR or Mass Effect. Easy to follow but really deep and enjoyable.

It's all about the quality but a complex story can be fun occasionally. Stories similar to Inception where you have to put thought in to fully understand it and can speculate stuff.

It depends. If the story is poorly written, I'd rather it wasn't there, but a good story in my opinion can save a game from a lot of gameplay issues. Also, it's always better when the gameplay and story actually have something to do with each other. You could have an entire epic written out, but if all it does is bridge the gaps between samey gun-fights, it might as well not even be there. That's just my opinion, though.

It still depends on the quality of the story. I do have a fondness for storylines because things going over my head is not a major turnoff for me. Plus connecting the dots adds to the enjoyment of the experience.

That describes every RTS game ever made. ... the story is usually just filler between battles. Some games try to mesh the two together then you get some JRPG or third person games where the story character can do things that the gameplay character can only dream of doing.

You can always press the "Skip cutscene" button in games with storylines. There's no button to add a story to a game without, however.

Depends on what I'm in the mood for. I enjoy a long horrifying and disturbing adventure into the deep storyline of Silent Hill, but I also enjoy the simplicity of Doom.
