Excuse me, but can you point me to clear examples of how penises are so prominent in gaming? Because Saints Row is the only example.
They are not
prominent as in "they are everywhere" and nobody claimed that was the case. However, there is way less fuss made about penises in a game than showing a vagina. Which was the point of Jim's video - the two aren't exactly equal. He pointed out
GTA 4 (it think it was 4) had them one nude guy and, honestly, that's the first time I ever heard of that. There is also
Dante's Inferno where you get to see Satan's enormous dick in the last fight. There is
Genital Jousting where you literally play penises. Those games don't receive that much publicity because of this acceptance of male genitalia.
Yes, that's not all games, it is, in fact, a very small percentage of all games, however the point was that this number is greater than the number of games that show vaginas and the reception when one does. The video was related to
Watch Dogs 2 where one player found a female NPC model with an exposed vagina and suddenly it was a Big Thing. So big that Ubisoft came in and
apologised for that. Did Rockstar need to apologise for
GTA 4? Did EA need to do that for
Dante's Inferno?
