yes. rounding that even to just 1 significant digit is not 1000. It's 800. and that is before the issue of how many of those were gunned down, blown apart, or burned by IDF attack helicopters and tanks.
I wasn't rounding, I simply misremembered the proportion of the 1,150 dead that were security forces.
Of which there have been several confirmed reports. Yet by all accounts the military turned up substantially later-- an hour at least after fighting had already begun in some spots, and later still in others. After the attackers had already arrived at numerous residential communities and 2x festivals, indiscriminately gunning people down & burning houses.
