Happens all the time. I usually just stick the bill(s) into my wallet and use them within a couple of days on groceries or food.

I'd most likely put it in my bank since I hate carrying more than $20 on me. But I would definitely spend at least a fifth of that on movies or games right away.

I don't pay a tax on it, you say? Well then, to the bank it goes. I'd probably use that money to put a year's rent on an apartment somewhere other than my current city. Vancouver, maybe?

Who finds a million dollars? Well, I guess I just did in this theoretical scenario. I'd bank it immediately before setting out to do two things: buy a house of some kind and hunt down a reliable financial adviser/investor to give me some advice on how to safely double my remaining monies in a short period of time (short meaning within a decade).

$1,000,000 - Hookers and blow in Mexico. You guys probably wouldn't see me again for at least three months. Sure I could get hookers an blow in the US, but there is no way I could stretch that money out to at least three months at my rate of hooker and blow consumption when uninhibited by monitory concerns. Besides after finding US$1 Million I would probably be on the run from whoever misplaced it, and through a series of misadventures find the love of my life and learn the value of friendship and honesty.
