You and I apparently think the same. Because I say almost the exact same thing. It's pretty much my motto.
"Hope for the best. Prepare for the worst."
Been saying that for years. And it really pays to live by that.

The best thing about it is that after the worst doesn't happen you can use your preparations to throw a party! (If the worst requires the stockpiling of food, drink, or party supplies)

Ok, I love this one. Probably because I have a friend that would be in the cell next to me. Reason for imprisonment would probably include way too much german beer, a homemade and surprisingly well engineered go cart, and at least twice the legal speed limit.
