yes. just yes. If I had to pick a different unit, though, it'd probably be the Vulcan from TA.

Don't forget the Snipers!
Cloaks, and is equipped with an Annihilator rifle.
Uses a stupid amount of energy, but when you absolutely have to murder something big and nuke are banned...

XV15 Stealth-suit squad, from Dawn of War.
Weapons can upgrade to fusion blasters, which melt flesh and steel alike, they are always invisible (except when certain units or abilities are used/nearby), and have jetpacks for getting around the edges into a base to wreck havoc. Great for ambushes, or exterminations, and are useful to bolster a frontline. Only drawback is short range and slower rate of fire.

I've only played 2 RTS games so forgive me if my judgement is upsetting. For me, it'd either be the Scarab tank from Halo wars or Nazgul from LOTR: Battle for middle earth 2

Spoiler: I also like the Masakari mech in Mech Commander.

It's a Clan assault 'mech. It's heavily armoured, extremely imposing and can carry enough weaponry to annihilate a light to medium mech in one salvo. It resembles nothing so much as a dump truck with legs!

I think the Masakari was the Inner Sphere name, the Clanners called it the Warhawk. (Much cooler)
Anyways, it is still my favorite mech, regardless of names.

Also, best rts unit is the Siege Tank. My favorite strategy is leapfrogging into bases with a combination of tanks and bunkers being built as you advance.

Also, the Chrono Commandos were amazing as well. C4 like Tanya. Machine gun to mow through enemy infantry. And the ability to teleport around the map. Sneak one of these guys close to your enemy's base without him noticing (and let his teleport lag catch up), and you can bomb out half of his base before he knows what's going on.

For me it's the Marine from Starcraft and Starcraft II. Cheap, quick to make, reliable, and their voices aren't grating. Got a problem? Send enough of them in, and eventually you won't!

That's my strategy. Remember people "With enough marines, you can accomplish anything."
