So inspired by the can England be Invaded thread, I thought I'd do a similar one but replace the country in question with the US, if the rest of the world banded together without the aid of nuclear arms would they be able to successfully invade and hold the US?

Go down through Canada, up throw Mexico. Squeeze in via Navy from the sides, and fly over head with RAF etc. It would be easier the UK me thinks, but still a daunting task.

If the rest of the world?
Fuck that We'll send in the SAS and you'll be taken over before you know it.

So, yes - you could. It probably wouldn't need every other country to band against you, to be fair.

Yes.
With no nuclear weapons, all other governments combined could successfully invade the US.
But I think that's true of any single country.

I have a theory, that if we blew one nuke in America, it would cause a chain reaction.

IT COULD TOTALLY WORK.

Yes.

Come to think of it, why aren't we doing this right this second?
Because I would have to kill you.
:p
And, as I said in the other thread, ANY country can be invaded. Holding is the hard part.

You probably could overwhelm the armed forces, but then you have millions of armed citizens to contest with once you're in.

Even though the US's army is on the other side of the globe, the country is still full of red-necks who have at least five guns in their homes. (Joking)(Maybe a little bit true, but still a joke).

I guess anything is possible.

It's not like we're some sort of invincible super-country.

We can be invaded and destroyed.
Yeah, but I'd love to see anyone try. Even though we're in an econimic pit, we still have more money than almost anyone. Meaning more money for military. And if we had the mind to, we could make sure no one who stepped aggressively on out soil lived to tell the tale.

You want to know why? Because the public disagrees with the peace-keeping being done.

They could easily get millions upon millions of soldiers to sign up if they wanted through propaganda.

I feel quite safe sitting here tucked away by the largest military base in the world. Hell, I think we have 5 carriers who's homeport is at naval station norfolk.

I don;t think it would be possible. Let's all keep in mind the technological superiority of the yanks, ok?

SuperSonic Stealth air to air fighters capable of vertical take-off.
Stealth bombers.

The M1A2.

Sad, but they win. Sorry rest of world. That's the way it is.

i agree with you on that all i was saying was that there wouldn't be enough soldiers here to stop the invasion, with how many people are in the U.S. military currently.
