I'd kill a man who raped my gf. But probably only if he made me watch. I'd go into his stomach with a box cutter and pull his beating heart out.

Depends on several things. I assume there would be no legal ramifications for the sake of discussion.

If it is one of the two people I truly hate without a second thought. If you cannot understand this, count yourself lucky you have never actually hated someone.

If it was a complete stranger I would have to have a good reason. Kill one to save a hundred? Yea, I could do that. Kill one to save a loved one? Again, I could probably do that. Self defense, not even a question.

If it is a loved one...no I couldn't kill them. The only conceivable situation I would consider it is if one loved one was about to kill another loved one.

Traps killed a mouse in my room and I've been depressed and self-doubting all day. It would have to be one really compelling situation or reason for me to consider putting myself through the inevitable hell of conscience that would follow killing a human being. I can think of one or two people who I've refrained from killing for that very reason: they just weren't worth it.

Nope. I value life and would not do it to anyone.
What if doing so would save two people?

And really, it's not a question of whether you "value" life or not -- almost everyone values life. But people have hierarchies of values. And even if life has the greatest of all value to you, assigning it infinite value leads to impractical conclusions when you start factoring that into decisions. Should we spend several thousand dollars doing roadwork that will save maybe 1 life every 20 years or so? Well, if the value of life is infinite, that's a justified expense. In fact, not doing that work would be an infinite loss.

If there was a situation in which the person was going to do something bad, be it a crime or anything of that sort, I'd take their life in an instant, and feel fine about it. Hell, I'd be proud knowing I took a bad person out of the world, and kept a good person in.

No, Murder is wrong, regardless of circumstance.
I hope you're joking.

I don't see how anybody can think that murder is wrong under any circumstances.

What if somebody just raped and killed your entire family and was about to set off all of the nukes in the world, creating a nuclear wasteland, and either you kill them right now or the world and humanity are doomed.

How is that not justifiable? I wouldn't think twice before killing that guy.
Human beings will go to drastic bounds to justify Murder, I believe that all human life is worth preserving, No questions asked.
But isn't killing one to save many preserving much more human life than letting one live to kill thousands?

I admire you for drawing a moral line in the sand here, but its a little black and white considering how sticky situations can be.
Like helping a dying man who wants you to ease the pain of his passing. Or some sort of contrived situation where ending one life is the only way to save the lives of multiple others.

I had someone kick in the door to my apartment the first year I was living alone. Long story short I shot to kill, I missed every shot because it was dark and I was hung over, but the would be robber got the message and ran screaming out of the apartment.

If I felt that my life or a loved ones life may be in danger I would kill in a heartbeat.

Uhh... I think so.

The circumstances would have to be pretty darn severe though.
