I hope so. I think yes, but I dont want to sound like I think it would be easy for me.

If there was a situation in which the person was going to do something bad, be it a crime or anything of that sort, I'd take their life in an instant, and feel fine about it. Hell, I'd be proud knowing I took a bad person out of the world, and kept a good person in.

No, Murder is wrong, regardless of circumstance.
I hope you're joking.

I don't see how anybody can think that murder is wrong under any circumstances.

What if somebody just raped and killed your entire family and was about to set off all of the nukes in the world, creating a nuclear wasteland, and either you kill them right now or the world and humanity are doomed.

How is that not justifiable? I wouldn't think twice before killing that guy.
Human beings will go to drastic bounds to justify Murder, I believe that all human life is worth preserving, No questions asked.
But isn't killing one to save many preserving much more human life than letting one live to kill thousands?

Nope. I value life and would not do it to anyone.
I admire you for drawing a moral line in the sand here, but its a little black and white considering how sticky situations can be.
Like helping a dying man who wants you to ease the pain of his passing. Or some sort of contrived situation where ending one life is the only way to save the lives of multiple others.

I had someone kick in the door to my apartment the first year I was living alone. Long story short I shot to kill, I missed every shot because it was dark and I was hung over, but the would be robber got the message and ran screaming out of the apartment.

If I felt that my life or a loved ones life may be in danger I would kill in a heartbeat.

Uhh... I think so.

The circumstances would have to be pretty darn severe though.

MARINE.
so... yeah.
i have the training.
and training just begs to be put to use.

but i don't want to go to jail.
so i will not be killing anyone unless my life or the lives of innocents are on the line.

i'll give you murder being wrong. murder is killing. not all killing is murder. simple as that.

even the fucked up american "justice" system (which really needs to be renamed) agrees, although it can be difficult to make the distinction.

i could dive into my philosophical meanderings now but that'd probably just start a flame war.

Off the top pf my head the only situation where I would take someones' life would be in war. In almost any other situation my conscience would prolly get the better of me. If I had to kill for something then independency and the lives of my countrymen would pretty much be the only causes that I'd willingly kill someone for.

Yes. If I had to save a loved one or stop some kind of heinous crime, I could end someone's life.
